Got to give it to Banks in 2nd half/ Armchair observations

Coach Banks and the defense kept us in it the 2nd half. Yea UGA got conservative, but we only gave up a FG, and allowed our offense to have opportunities to try and catch us up...They also played the whole 1st half basically in UT territory, due to the offense not moving the ball/ turnovers/ really dumb false start penalties.
Yea, they gave up plays, especially to their WR 84. Not happy about that at all but they held UGA to way under their scoring avg for the season

If Hooker was able to hit those two WIDE OPEN deep shots (Hyatt in the 1st half, Bru in 2nd) they would have potentially been TD's or lead to TD. Different ballgame at that point. Offense didnt really show up today. O line got outmatched and we didnt really push the ball downfield much....Sad to say, we became predictable. Only routes we ran were 5yrd comebacks (that Hooker threw really high so WR had to jump for them, giving DB's time to close and tackle), or slants that we were 50/50 on. Wright ran hard, I'll give him that.

Tell me that a HB slip screen wouldnt have absolutely worked wonders!? They played man up, and sent 5 guys with a spy on hooker. HB slip screen would have backed them off a good bit. Surprised we dont have that in our playbook, as I havent seen it ran at all this year.

I was thinking I wish we had a screen play in the playbook today, GA was getting up field so fast I think it would have been a good play

Gotta give GA their due, they played really good defense today. Their roster full of 4/5 star players were just too much for us today. That said, our recruiting for the next few years will help tremendously.

I noticed how their Db’s never missed a tackle. I watched about 5 Db’s for UT allow Bowers to drag them for 5-7 yards and a first down. We keep trying to swing down guys by their shoulder pads. What happed to putting your shoulder pad at a runners midsection and wrapping his legs? They go down every time.

Those changes will be in for the potential rematch in the playoffs....🤞

We don't tackle very well. It's been that way all year. We don't wrap up the ball carrier.
