Sportscenter this morning. He has us in for sure if we defeat Vandy again after, hopefully, we win tonight. SIAP.

He's a big fan of Stokes and realizes out losses in the SEC are against tournament teams.

Hopefully we will be in with only a win tonight. It will be hard to beat Vandy twice in the same week.

We've heard this for a week now. We know we are in if we win 2 games. Nothing new.

Our rpi was 75 the last I saw and one win coupled win a loss leaves us about the same. There is an unwritten rule about teams with an rpi of 70 or over since there is not a single one getting an at large bid. We pretty much have to beat vandy again to get in.

I agree with your point, but I have to question how good a team is that gets to play in Memorial. That place is an unfair advantage, imo.

Also, I'm sure our guys remember what Stallings told our fans Saturday.

As everybody has seen over many years, Vandy is Candy on the road with Stallings as HC. They win a few, but not many. This was to be THE year for Vandy. Upper classmen at all positions. Didn't happen. If they have to play baskeball instead of maul the other team they usually lose the game.

I hate to be a whiner, but you are correct about Memorial. I can't believe they are allowed that set-up. Imagine if UT football sidelines were in the endzone and fans were right up on the field like arena football. I just don't see how they get away with it...

Having the chance to play Vandy and beat them again would be awesome. I can't stand them.

Vandy is going to beat UGA. I wish they didn't but they will. 1 game at a time. Ole Miss is going to be tough tonight.

The UGA loss is not to a tournament team. Appears the MS State may not be either.

No surprises here. Personally, I'd rather Vandy win tonight because we need another QUALITY win. Playing them gives us that opportunity. Just better handle business tonight. The road game makes me nervous.

At least no one in this thread has picked LSU to upset UK like that other thread. I'm starting to think some of our fans only watched UK play us and no other games. That team is nasty. The don't lose till the final four if at all.

I meant to write "majority" of our SEC losses. Started the thread from the mobile and had to keep it short. The SEC is pretty volatile right now outside of UK. At the end of the day, we'll have to beat Vandy again to get in. I don't see it happening any other way.

Forget quality wins.

If we win the next 2 we're in...regardless of opponent.

I'm pretty sure there's a team that got in with a 73.

The RPI is so hard to improve late in the year and that's when we've really improved.

Supposedly the committee looks at kenpom and maybe BPI this year. Both our numbers in those ranking are much better than our RPI.

If we play Vandy with our "A" game, we will win; however, Vandy won't shoot as poorly at the free throw line this game, as they did last game. Also, Vandy will devise ways to get Jenkins free from McBee and get some open 3 pointers.
Vandy will be motivated also. They will want to redeem themselves after last weeks loss.
