Can you imagine if some rich businessman had got away with this?

WASHINGTON - A Prince George's County councilmember stopped for going 105 mph in a 55 mph zone says she was late for an appointment.
Karen Toles was issued a warning for the infraction last week. In a statement Tuesday, police said a warning is consistent with the discretion officers have in handling speeding motorists. The officer did not use a radar gun.
"I consider moving violations serious matters and I regret the incident," Toles said in a statement.
Toles was stopped going 50 miles over the speed limit while driving a county car on the Beltway near Branch Avenue around noon Feb. 22, according to a police source.
Toles also got a $90 ticket for recklessly changing lanes.
ABC 7 reports she led officers off the Beltway and through two traffic lights before stopping, when she was reportedly belligerent to police.
Toles represents the areas of Capitol Heights, District Heights, Hillcrest Heights, Marlow Heights, Seat Pleasant, Suitland, Temple Hills and portions of Forestville and Oxon Hill.
