I'm seeing & hearing a lot of great things about this film on Letterboxd where its getting a lot of 4 & 5 star ratings from advanced screenings and it has a early advance of 94% on rottentomatoes and a 96 on metacritic.

I have also seen where it will advance CGI even further from what Avatar did four or five years ago.

One neat thing is Ed Harris was cast as the Mission Control voice of course Harris portrayed NASA Mission Control Flight Director Gene Kranz in Apollo 13.

I'm calling bullshlt on this film so far. They literally keep showing the same preview over and over of the same scene. Does this whole movie take place in this one scene in space. WTF!? I feel like I've seen the entire movie just in the blown apart space station scene. If that's all they got screw them. Show me some substance! The marketing department failed on this one.

HAL, this is a A Space Odyssey.

Saw Gravity this afternoon, and I was blown away. It's the most realistic space film I've ever seen. It's a spectacle that will have your heart pounding the entire 90 minutes. Stop what your doing and go see this film. 9.5/10

Saw one critic this morning give it a (5 out 5), said that it was the first film this year he get that rating! Said its one of the best in years.

He said it was in line with Citizen Kane, 2001, Avatar etc... and will once again revolutionize film!

I also saw where they said it took 4 years to make!

REVIEW - NO SPOILERS

GRAVITY Movie Review - Best Movie of the Year
by Joey Paur

I was so pumped up for Gravity! I believed the hype. I loved what I saw in the trailers. I'm a big fan of Alfonso Cuarón's directing style, and it had an incredible cast of two consisting of Sandra Bullock and George Clooney. What could possibly go wrong? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. This was a beautiful, perfectly made film. You need to see it now if you haven't already! I promise you this is one of the best movies you'll ever see.

This movie couldn't have been made any better. It opens up with an almost 20-minute single shot in space that literally took my breath away. It just kept going, and it kept getting better and better from there. I was locked into the film from the very opening shot to the moment it ended. This movie hooks you and doesn't let go. The intensity of it is powerful! I caught myself holding my breath several times throughout the movie. That rarely happens to me, but I had to remind myself to breathe while watching this. Not only is it intense but it really does a great job of tugging at your other emotions of anxiety, fear, sadness, and joy. This movie hit them all. I really cared about the characters in the film, and what happened to them. There were moments in the film where I actually got choked up and wanted to cry, but I held back the tears. That wasn't just because of the story; it was also because of how freakin' magnificent the film was............................

He's lying. You know how I know, because he said "trailers" implying that there is more than one of them.

There are only 2 nice things I can say about this movie:

1) visually awesome
2) only 90 minutes

Worst line in movie history? "Clear skies with a chance of debris" rivals any bad line Arnold ever had.

It was crap. I went with three other people and we were so bored. If the only thing you can think of to keep the story going is introducing more space debris then you lose at writing. FML, I hated it so much.

Well, based on the posts, it appears I should look forward to not seeing this epic, boring, redefining masterflop.

I have yet too figure out what part of the world she is in, state and\or country. And the lake in which she lands. Anybody out there with a better eye geared to geography and Geospatial studies feel free to ring in.....(?)

Yeah, I realize I am in the small minority, but I just need more story, character development, and dialog. This movie doesn't offer any of that. Love deGrasse Tyson.
