"The one individual who's really, really starting to impress me right now is Jason Croom," new Vols coach Butch Jones said. "... I could tell that he got in his playbook, he ran over break and I really liked the way he approached practice today. He's a big 6-foot-4, 225-pound individual, and he needs to play like that.

Happy happy happy :)

It will probably be Croom and Harris as the starters, with Blanc and Pig rotating at slot

Ryan Jenkins will get some time at slot also...more and more as the season progresses

From the sounds of it, everybody we have at the WR position has the potential to be a play maker. Pig, Devrin, and Dalls in the slot have game breaker written all over them if they get the ball with some open space. Croom, Harris, and North are all built like pro WR's. Then there is Blanc, who is supposedly a tremendous athlete. And then a former walk on that has been making noise recently.

There is a reason why CBJ wants a lot of WR's on the roster.

I really believe there will be plenty of playing time for all the WR's as well as RB's. Up tempo, fast paced, lot's of no huddle offense means a lot of running for receivers and running backs. They will need to be swapped in and out a lot to keep them as fresh as possible.

Not meaning to leave the OL out of this. I believe when we lose most if not all of our line after next year, we will have plenty of guys with game experience to step in and replace them too. OL will be swapping players a lot this year too.

IMO it's not going to matter who is listed as the starter for any given game. They will all get their share of plays.

Once Croom figures out that he can absolutely "big boy" any DB on the field, he is going to be dangerous!
