Great basketball tonight

Gary Williams seems to be somewhat underrated now after his program has fallen off, but he will have the Terrapins ready to play Pitt on ESPN2 at 7. I expect Pitt to win and it will be enjoyable for us to see the roster that awaits us later this year.

Texas v. Illinois at 9 also on the ESPN family should be a great game and will answer some questions about two teams who could both potentially be in the Elite 8, or who could both squander talent rich rosters and do very little with them.

The Big 12 and the Big 10 are often being compared, and with Oklahoma looking bad, Texas Tech looking very bad and even Baylor looking bad in victory, a win for the Longhorns would help establish that the Big 12 is strong outside the state of Kansas.

Texas looks very good, but so does Illinois.

Interesting that in both of those games, an amazing amount of free throws were missed.

Talib Zanna from Pitt is a guy that Maryland had no answer for. It will be sad/hilarious to watch Maryland play Duke and UNC unless they improve their interior defense.

Honestly I hope Pitt beats Texas so our game looks even better on RPI, but based on these two games, Pitt is in some danger.
