Zachariah Branch of USC.

Kid is an amazing talent. Incredible speed, moves, and burst.

There are a few players that could be argued as the best non-QB player in the country. Branch isn’t yet one of them after only one game. MHj absolutely is. I’m obviously biased, but for me it’s 100% Bowers.

Four receptions for 58 yds and a TD vs San Jose St led you to that conclusion?

Yes. His kick return was pretty good but I think you might be just a tad premature.

You forgetting the punt return he also had for a TD? 🤷🏻

Bowers is great, no doubt about it, but Branch is SPECIAL.

I absolutely also think Branch is a special player. But it’s early to call him the best player in the country. He has played 1 college game and did great, but it was against San Jose St. Although, I will admit that it’s very possible that we all consider him one of the best in time. Perhaps soon. He just has to look special against top talent first.

Sometimes the talent is so obvious there’s no reason to pump brakes.
And sometimes the opponent is bad enough that it makes someone look better than they are. There are a LOT of guys with similar talent out there. If he keeps doing it then you can make a case. One game isn't nearly enough against what appears to be a weak opponent.

So I have to wait for approval of others before offering an opinion.

I’m guessing you neither saw the game nor highlights of it. If you did and can’t see the obvious special talent he is then maybe get your eyes examined.

No. You can state any opinion you like... and others can mock it for being premature and maybe... dumb.

I watched much of the game and saw the KO return live. They were still playing SJSU. It is still just one game. There are still A LOT of great players across the country. It is still too early to have the heart pounding crush you have.

Bowers is special. There are only a (VERY) few players that have the athletic skill and presence of mind to make that 4th down conversion he made against OSU in the semi-final game. That was one h#ll of a special play.

You forgetting who he was playing against?

He may be a great player at some point. There is not currently a "great chance" he's the best player in the country.
Not saying he’s the best player in the country, but hasn’t been one like him in a minute. Think Tavon Austin or Deanthony Thomas.
