I've been following this guy's videos since last year's TN-FL game. Great analysis that shows you how FL's (and I assume other teams will also) defense scheme adjusted to our offense.

Scheming? Blah Watched 2 plays,
1st . 3rd and 9 left side of O line basically fell down at the D linemens feet and D lineman was in the backfield in 1 second.

2nd : they rushed 4 and beat the 6 Vols and was on Milton before he had time to do anything.

Basically Vol players getting beat in matchups repeatedly

Yeah I've been watching James since 2021, super knowledgeable about schemes and such. He believes Austin Armstrong is an elite defense coordinator and he HATES Billy's passing offense. (Although he thinks his run schemes are some of the best) I invest 3 hours or so of my day once every week during football season to watch his breakdowns, win or lose.

I tried. He's a dude with no football pedigree that takes 15 minutes per play to explain what you see. He pauses every 3 seconds to explain what you can see. I tried and quit.

I just literally saw about 10 passing plays where all Milton had to do was take off and run. Why is he so timid?

He is going to HAVE to use his legs more with the way our oline and WRs are struggling. He also needs to grt the play off much more quickly consistly otherwise pur hurry up offense is severely limited.

Unfortunately, there's no genius to what Florida did. They figured out that they could stuff the run with a 5 man box which kills any hope of throwing it down the field.

That's literally what happened. We stuffed the run and got pressure on Milton all night vs advantageous UT numbers up front. James pointed out how uniformly correct the majority of the game we were in eye discipline and gap integrity, but I'm guessing that's still pretty concerning.

This was my main takeaway as well. If we cannot run with a 2 man advantage, it is going to be a tough season. Second takeaway is that when we do get man coverage, we need a receiver to step up and win.

I watched the whole thing and here are my takeaways:
1. Any defense that can consistently line up properly will pose a problem. Florida used their OLB and Nickel very effectively against the run, slants, and WR screens.
2. Florida - like Georgia last year - could consistently get pressure with only 4. They could drop 7 and take away most of what we want to do. OL got whipped consistently.
3. Our offense is timing based. Heupel designs the plays where a player is open at a precise moment in the play. If the QB has to scramble, the window is closed. Milton isn’t a decisive runner, and isn’t throwing the ball at the exact moment the ball is supposed to come out. The 2 point conversion comes to mind.
4. Milton made the wrong read on the INT. Another guy was wide open.
5. This offense will struggle in louder environments where we can’t get the play called quickly and catch the defense off guard.
