The two best teams in the NBA going at it, and it is tied with 4.9 seconds left in the first OT.

My boy Buckner is getting some love from the announcers, as well:dance2:

If more of the NBA games were like this in competitiveness, intensity, and style, I might watch more than 3 a year.

Now THAT was an incredible display of basketball, by both teams. That defensive play where Nash dove for the ball out of bounds, turned, threw it at Jason Terry's knee so it bounced back out, was a brilliant defensive play. If all the voters on the east coast stayed up late enough to watch that game, Steve Nash just locked up the MVP. Dallas showed a lot of heart, too. I expect these teams to be playing 7 games in the western conference finals.

Don't forget San Antonio. They are hot right now, and we all know they have the acumen to handle a playoff run.

All this game does is allow Phoenix fans to again delude themselves into thinking they're actual contenders. The Spurs will eliminate them in the semis. Then Dallas and San Antonio can get down to the business of determining who gets to lose to Detroit in the Finals.

That's a bold prediction hat...Care to put some money down for the finals??
People were saying the same thing last year, that the Western Conference Finals were the defacto NBA champs. Basically, Detroit is 1028401840493 times better since they got Chris Webber, and because the rest of the Eastern Conference is so completely terrible, they'll be able to sleepwalk to the NBA Finals and face Dallas/San Antonio/Phoenix simeltaneously rested and on one hell of a win streak.

I have a hard time seeing Detroit winning more than 1 game against either San Antonio or Dallas, especially San Antonio. Dallas has shown that they are fully capable of choking a series away, even though Detroit doesn't have a Dwyane Wade on the roster.

You do realize who Dallas beat to get to the Finals last year, right? Dallas isn't a choker all the time. And I think it's a very different scenario given that Detroit doesn't have a golden boy on the roster.

So the NBA wouldn't want Detroit to win like they apparently wanted Miami to win? Fair point.

Yes, I know who they beat, I was watching. Just because they beat them last year doesn't make it automatic this season.

I wouldn't even call Detroit the favorite in the East once Wade comes back and Shaq continues to play the way he's played in Wade's absence.

Just saying what I meant. While Dallas did choke away the finals, they came up big the series right before, which means they are capable of winning a big-time series.
