Great Game Vols....Congrats

Wow....

That was one of the most exciting games I have seen all year. Although my Beloved Dawgs went down I have to give credit where it is due. Ainge played extremely well and the Vols O line held off the terrible two, so hats off. You have an excellent team.

I fear however the game is academic, as it seems the hated gators are in control of the east, unless someone, and probably not the dawgs, can knock them off, I think the vols and dawgs will have to settle for second and third in the SEC E.

I hate the Gators but they look stout. Urban seems to know what he is doing. Another hats off to the Pigs for knocking off AllBarn. Let's just hope that the best conference in college football isn't left out of the NC.

great game. lot closer then the score. at halftime i thought there was a better chance of GA blowout then a UT come from behind win..

I will be rooting hard for Gerogia the rest of the season. Beat them Gators Dawgs. :rock:

UF didn't look all that impressive on offense imho. LSU just self destructed.

Thanks, Hoot.

I thought the game was going to get out of hand after the first 25 minutes... in Georgia's favor. I knew it wouldn't be easy going into the game. Georgia is still a solid team. Now go beat the Gators. I'd be pulling for that even if the Vols didn't need the help.

as much as i despise the gators, you gotta give them some credit, lsu aint a bad team. the geo game was truly a great game for ut, and may give them the impetus to get thru the rest, beware ark and scaro. we will be ready for bama and lsu.

I would like to think that UGA could beat the hated gators but after seeing them beat up on LSU today I have serious doubts about our ability to hang with the evil reptillians. They look really solid and Georgia's QB situation will not help any. FLA has their roster down. I think the beloved dawgs would have to have the game of their year, and the lazy fish stealers would have to have a really, really bad game for there to be an upset.

Regardless, as a resident of Tennessee I will root for the Vols in the rest of their games and hope against hope that the Big Orange go to Atlanta instead of the bottom dwelling cold blooded carnivorous El Lagartos.

I think Arkansas proved today that most any SEC team is capable of winning with an outstanding effort. I also think that bammers (almost) showed that any team can lose with a substandard showing. Go Tigers, Go Dawgs! Show what you are made of and skin those gators!

Appreciate your gracious first post, and definitely one thing dawgs and VOLS can agree upon is hatred for the gators.

Remember though, football is a game of emotions, you'd probably like to forget, but in '04 we beat you a week after we got smoked by Auburn, and you handled LSU. Anything can happen if you have talent... and Georgia has some talent. You can beat Florida - just do it!!!

i aggree that LSU self destructed. fumble on the 1, muffed punt, droped kick off return, and a couple more i can't remember. if you take those away then the score is a lot closer. the fumble cost LSU 7. the droped kick return gave UF 2 and the muffed punt turned into 7 for the gaters after good field position. take this away and you have a different score. if the dawgs play with few mistakes this could be a good game. GO DAWGS beat UF.

The critical play in the LSU-UF game was the phantom holding call that eventually led to the goal line fumble. Absent that horrendous call, it stays a close game and everything changes.

BTW, I think UT is playing the best football in the SEC right now. They've found a running game. The change at center was probably the most critical line up change. McNeil is excellent.

If they played today, I don't think UF would stay within two scores.

I definitely think that UGA will fix its QB issue over the next two weeks and play much better against the Gators. I hope Richt recognizes that Joe T just doesn't have the talent and starts Cox or Stafford over the next two weeks to get them ready.

The Vols were 2 points away from being undefeated and being a top 5 team. If our defense can tighten up, the Vols are going to finish this season really strong.

I believe that the Dawgs have a really good record in the cocktail party in the last 5 years. I know y'all can do it again. Just make them kick a lot and the return team will do the job...

I am beginning to hope UT can run the table and wind up in a BCS regardless of the early loss.
