Just now getting a chance to watch the game on dvr.

Sitting in the stands it's hard to keep up with, and appreciate, the contribution some of these players make for the University of Tennessee Volunteers.

Chris fought his way to this team. He earned his spot on this team. He worked past all the obstacles to get here, despite the naysayers who said he wouldn't be able to get it done. If you followed his recruitment at all, you're aware of the uphill battle he faced. And now he's a Tennessee Volunteer.

That isn't something easily accomplished. It takes incredible determination and hard work. God given talent is the easy part.

I'm proud to cheer for, and support, young men like Weatherd. I believe that is what the spirit of a Tennessee Volunteer is all about. Some of us may take for granted the glory of Tennessee football. Young men like Weatherd never will.

Go Vols!

The play of Weathered and a lot of the other new faces makes this team have a feel of good things to come to it.

Sure, kudos to the guy for getting on the team, but I'm more excited about his play. Dude is going to be a headhunter on this defense.

Volly has no idea how many people she has just angered with that thread title.

At some point you have to change the directional thinking of the masses. Might as well start now.

And Go Vols!!

Speaking from (unfortunate) experience, I know that it can be grueling and discouraging to have to dig out of academic trouble. Big props to Chris for persevering.

Agree with the OP. Proud to see him wear the Orange.

I hope he can live up to everything you just laid out there.

I was worried it was going to say he was deemed ineligible by the NCAA. Probably because Saban a worried about how good he played after just 1 month of practice.

but none are in the position of need as he is and he already has made an impact on this team.

Barnett is in a position of greater need than Weathered... and he's already made his mark with his play, effort and athleticism... just glad both are Vols...

Beautifully said. With you 100%. Not only is he to be commended for doing the work to get to Knoxville, he's gonna do great things on the field to help us win

Just add HAS NOT BEEN ARRESTED to any new thread with just a player's name...and everything will be kosher. :eek:k:

I had a similar experienced. Watched the DVR and really enjoyed seeing CW out there flying around. He is truly an immediate impact. I like him and Von for their dedication through the rough times. I love seeing both excel. The two looked like they were reapin the rewards of their hard work Sunday night.
