Great quotes by Tony Stewart....

Stewart being one of the top drivers today, I think you have to listen to him.

Translation: "We're struggling in practice, so I'm going to blame something or someone other than myself and the team for not being able to get a handle on the car."

Bobby Labonte and the #43 Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge team ran into problems during his qualifying run. Labonte’s car blew a tire coming out of Turn Two and the right-front of the Cheerios/Betty Crocker Dodge was sent into the wall

:disappointed:

Its the tires. I just heard Greg Biffle say its like driving on black ice. Everyone is wrecking out so tomorrow will be tough!!

Didn't Tony get into trouble 4 or so years ago for dogging Goodyears tires after a race? Then the next week he won with tire probs only to say"they were the best tires in his career"loaded with sarcasm of course.:boxing2:

This day and time a person who says what they think straight up is a loose cannon liability, hmmm used to be it was an indicator of a set of balls and a strong character.

Nascar dosen't want someone to speak their mind. They'd rather have puppets like that guy who drives the 48 car.

Agreed...It was time for Tony to start his annual whinning. Funny how most fans call Gordon a whinner but almost every race Smokie is crying about something.

It is possible you're right on....or it could be Goodyear who has enjoyed a fat contract for so long they've lapsed into a mode of apathy that product quality might just be worthy of critisism.

Perhaps, but it is what it is. If they had kept the softer tire, they would be blowing right fronts and knocking down the walls with the right front instead of backing into the wall after spinning out. Goodyear can't win.

With that said, I thought it ended up being a pretty clean/well-driven race for the most part. The first bit was kinda hairy, but they settled down after the first 50 laps or so.

Don't forget about 5 or 6 years ago he said he didn't like Talladega. When a reporter asked him why he said "Because it's in Alabama!"

Well i will give Bama this, Talladega is the most exciting race in the series to go to.

I have been to Bristol half a dozen times, and it is fun, but no where near Dega.

Tony Stewart knows what he is talking about.
Not exactly. He is a loose cannon at times. I like him for not kissing Nascar butt, but he is very inconsistent in his rants.

Last year at Daytona he slammed guys for driving reckless, and said one of them would get others killed. Then he goes out and drives like a flippin idiot at the race.

He needs to shut up sometimes.

I'm not referring to his rants about other drivers, but about his knowledge of racing in general, ie:racing tires, etc.
