As per usual, UT gave us all we could handle. Look at my most previous post and you'll see my prediction of same. Losing 4 players, after Gurley hurt plenty. We'll limp through the rest of the season. But that's football. Good luck the rest of the way. I think there will be an upset in the Vol's near future.

I am not sure how to take this "as per usual". You may have a nice streak and I know you are trying to be nice, but last time I checked maybe by just one game we lead the series. TN is not Vandy, we don't just give you all you can handle, we win half the time and I just get the feeling that UGA and all the so called elite have forgot that. There will be plenty of time to remember in t
he future...I feel a long streak coming again, maybe a nine gamer again. How about just say UGa won this round, see you next year. Not you try so hard UT.

Thanks . . . I wasn't able to watch the game but I have seen highlights, photos and read numerous articles - it was a GREAT game!!

Good luck to the DAWGS the rest of the year - beat the crap out of the Gators!!

GO VOLS!

We have a 2 game series lead I think. I also think it will go to three next year. :) See you next year Between the Hedges.

I think it was a 2 game lead before Saturday (21-19-2).

That would make it a 1 game lead now.

I was speaking of the past few years when UT was obviously ranked lower. We've also been competitive when underrated a few times. Didn't mean to hurt any feelings. It's a rivalry. That's all I was getting at.

Do not mean to single you out, but TN has a great history and really was not that long ago. The media seems to drive this, I do not even like signature win, I prefer big win.

Why so hostile. It's good to see an opponent compliment on a good game and wish us luck. I have to say Georgia is probably my least favorite team as far as fans go but thanks for the kind gesture. We shall meet again GBO

I agree with you they act like TN has never been there before. Talking like we need a singature win bull **** we ain't Vandy or Memphis we are TN we got our singature win about 90yrs ago. GO VOLS!

I think every fan of ours needs to realize that the only people who care about our history are us. History doesn't mean a thing to today when it comes to recruiting or respect. I know this hurts our collective feelings but it is the truth. Kind of like how we like to remind UGA they haven't won the big one since the 80's

Good luck to you as well and thanks. I hate that your guys may be out the rest of the season and remember all too well Justin Hunter's injury that at the time looked inexplicable (sometimes they just happen but I've never seen anyone get so many no contact major injuries at once). Some of our fans are still heart broken -- that one hurt badly but to me so much happened in that game that I'm also so damn proud of our team I could burst despite how much it hurt to see them lose, especially the way it all unfolded.

That said, y'all didn't play the same team that started the season or even the one team that started the first half of Saturday's game. And I'm glad you're not making the 'it was injuries' excuse. The entire nation seems to think that but anyone who's followed the Vols over the past few seasons, including this year, knows this team changed on Saturday. They came out swinging, didn't give up, and the offense finally found itself all the way around. If we'd played that way against UF there's no way we would've lost but with all new players (starters and true freshmen) in every aspect of our passing game there's just no shortcut around game experience.

To your credit, Murray and Richt kept your team from falling apart at the seams when multiple injuries happened. I think Vegas understood our development process better than we did as fans and better than many even now.

To me, UT-UGA games have always had all the energy of a rivalry (like we have with Bama or UF) but without the same level meanness between fans. I've always had great interactions with Georgia fans on gameday. All you really have to do is ignore the drunks and Harvey Updyke types present in all fanbases and most fanbases are "good people" even Bammers. There's only one real exception to that rule and we all know who they are.

I may be alone but this Vol fan will be pulling for you against the Gators. :toast:

I think you guys will be ok and will still win the east. Hope all of your main guys will get better quickly. Great game and good luck to you the rest of the way.
