Being a Vol fan is much more than wins and losses. Tennessee Football is so much more, and that is what seperates UT from many of the other schools. Win or lose, the band still plays Rocky Top, the leaves still begin to turn orange each fall, the Big Orange harvest moon still appears over Neyland each year, the aroma of grilling beef still permeates the air from the tailgaters, the Orange Navy still makes it's way down the river, 100,000 still pack the stadium, Pigeon Forge traffic is heavier, there is still road work on I-40, people will be jammed into the bookstore to buy anything you could want orange, scalpers will still be holding "Need Tickets" signs, fans will still pay $20 to park, fans will still be tossing footballs across the parking lots, the parade of cars coming up I-75 and I-40 with the orange flags, the excitement and anticipation when the band starts forming the Power T, ...I could go on for hours. Win or lose, good or bad, wet or dry, cold or hot, Tennessee Football was, is and always will be, Life. I am still excited about our Vols playing at Notre Dame. I am excited to hold tickets to see our Vols play the Memphis Tigers, because I know that, win or lose this week, there is always next week, and next year.
I love Tennessee Football and am blessed to be a Volunteer! :yahoo:
