Through all the trials of this year, it's still great to be a VOL fan. I'd rather be a VOL than jumping on someone's bandwagon just because they have a good season. Real fans stay the course, back the coaches and cheer the team. No boos from this VOL fan.

I appreciate all the excitement and fun they generate for me each week, so win or lose, I still love them.

HappyVol you are right. For all of those so-called fans who are ready to jump ship or sell there season tickets, I say go ahead, we don't need you anyway. If you know history, tradition, pride then you know Vol ball. Our program is bigger than a few lost games in one season. As far as the folks jumping ship, guest what, there are people who will be glad to buy those tickets and donate to the VASF.

All I can say is we have been here before. In 88 we stunk. We had poor offense and a lack of play at QB. The next season.....11-1 and SEC champs. CPF was on that staff and he can and will turn it around. I love the VOLS and root for them win or lose. And we owe the Irish a beatdown. Go Big Orange beat the Domers!

Being a Vol fan is much more than wins and losses. Tennessee Football is so much more, and that is what seperates UT from many of the other schools. Win or lose, the band still plays Rocky Top, the leaves still begin to turn orange each fall, the Big Orange harvest moon still appears over Neyland each year, the aroma of grilling beef still permeates the air from the tailgaters, the Orange Navy still makes it's way down the river, 100,000 still pack the stadium, Pigeon Forge traffic is heavier, there is still road work on I-40, people will be jammed into the bookstore to buy anything you could want orange, scalpers will still be holding "Need Tickets" signs, fans will still pay $20 to park, fans will still be tossing footballs across the parking lots, the parade of cars coming up I-75 and I-40 with the orange flags, the excitement and anticipation when the band starts forming the Power T, ...I could go on for hours. Win or lose, good or bad, wet or dry, cold or hot, Tennessee Football was, is and always will be, Life. I am still excited about our Vols playing at Notre Dame. I am excited to hold tickets to see our Vols play the Memphis Tigers, because I know that, win or lose this week, there is always next week, and next year.

I love Tennessee Football and am blessed to be a Volunteer! :yahoo:

Yes, but what about all the Big Orange fans who will not make it until next year? I hope I can live to see another run like we've had since '88. GO VOLS!!

I'm still wearing Gameday Friday Orange and White at work, the Power T will still fly out front, and tomorrow morning will begin with the traditional POTS band on CD over coffee.

Remember all: tough times are what make the good times "good." We are measured not just by victories, but by how we handle our defeats. Let's keep our chins up, fight the Irish, and look forward to a speedy and glorious return to the top.

:3cheers:
