He can have his raise after he explains running Jabari Davis on sweeps, etc when we needed a speedster to get around the corners. Even if Florida was totally fooled thinking Jebari can only run up the middle, they are way too fast and can compensate, as they did, before any decent yardage is made. A few of those runs, had we had a speed back in the backfield i think could have been broken a bit further. There were a couple other questionable playcalls, but overall he did a great job in the game. Seeing Tennessee actually going downfield, and not running with a few bubble screens thrown in, has been rather scary this season (in a good way). I dont miss the days of run, run, pass, punt.
Ainge reminds me of a Brett Favre. Watching him scrambling at times and throwing across his body is vintage Brett Favre. He tried to gun a few in the fourth that he could have taken some mustard off of and actually completed, but when 3rd or fourth down came around he made the pass he needed to. I still think Schaefffer should get he time in as well. Stick with the guy who has the hot hand. I think eventually one will pull away and show consistency.
I am going to take up a collection to make a large endowment to the University to get them to add a new class to the schedule this year for our defense... Sports Management - Playaction Pass and the Ball Fake 101. Leake was unimpressive and alot of the plays we gave them. He consistently missed passes he should have hit.
As for the penalty, the Florida player could have walked away... He didn't. Florida fans can be mad at the officials all they want. Had the reciever walked away there would have been no penalty, maybe even one on the Tennessee player (though that would be very debatable as issue of if the play was still going on and other factors would probably still lead to a no-call).
Oh and hello Volnation.
