I'm still happy this morning. Great win. Our offense looks better than I have seen in a good while. I hope the defense gets better fast.

Hillbilly:

Your right the Defense has alot of work to do, and it won't be easy with Simon out. I hope it is only a bruised knee. It is hard to beleive he could tear an ACL on a play like that. As for the Offense, Houston is the best back when healthy, he has the best vision. He hits the holes the best, but he doesn't have break away speed. Schaffer is good, but he needs to protect the football better. I think Ainge sees the field better than Schaffer, and he can read the defense better at this point. He also gets rid of the football really fast which makes him hard to sack. Overall, the Offense is much improved, and is carrying the team right now.

For a change. I think Coach Sanders has already bought himself a pay raise and a contract extension.

Who would have thought that I wanted our offense on the field to win it, instead of the defense?

My, oh, my, how things have changed. Going into this season we were hoping our defense would keep us in the game. Lots of Ced, CPF and CRS bashing going on. Who's our hero now? CRS has shown what he is capable of. These 2 18yo qbs are good and will be awesome. Houston is definitely our best rb. Fulmer is nothing if not a class act as a coach and a human being. Come on chief, lets get the D to step it up!!!

Got my low carb luch on the stove. Gator Gumbo coming up!!! No tenderizer needed!!!

He can have his raise after he explains running Jabari Davis on sweeps, etc when we needed a speedster to get around the corners. Even if Florida was totally fooled thinking Jebari can only run up the middle, they are way too fast and can compensate, as they did, before any decent yardage is made. A few of those runs, had we had a speed back in the backfield i think could have been broken a bit further. There were a couple other questionable playcalls, but overall he did a great job in the game. Seeing Tennessee actually going downfield, and not running with a few bubble screens thrown in, has been rather scary this season (in a good way). I dont miss the days of run, run, pass, punt.

Ainge reminds me of a Brett Favre. Watching him scrambling at times and throwing across his body is vintage Brett Favre. He tried to gun a few in the fourth that he could have taken some mustard off of and actually completed, but when 3rd or fourth down came around he made the pass he needed to. I still think Schaefffer should get he time in as well. Stick with the guy who has the hot hand. I think eventually one will pull away and show consistency.

I am going to take up a collection to make a large endowment to the University to get them to add a new class to the schedule this year for our defense... Sports Management - Playaction Pass and the Ball Fake 101. Leake was unimpressive and alot of the plays we gave them. He consistently missed passes he should have hit.

As for the penalty, the Florida player could have walked away... He didn't. Florida fans can be mad at the officials all they want. Had the reciever walked away there would have been no penalty, maybe even one on the Tennessee player (though that would be very debatable as issue of if the play was still going on and other factors would probably still lead to a no-call).

Oh and hello Volnation.

I agree with everything you said except this. As much as I don't like the guy, Leak carried Florida and for most of the game looked like he was taking target practice back there. I would have never believed that we could win with Leak could have a game like that.

Florida's offense and play calling choked in the 4th quarter when it was time to line up and run the ball with everybody knowing that it was coming.

Florida did choke in the fourth. Vols kept having to play catch up because of the defense. Saying we "gave them" yards still means that Tenn defense needs a lot of work. But when things pick up... Watch out! Tennessee could be unstopable.

I still have no idea how we only gave up 7 points in the second half - and that came on a tipped ball that turned into an 81 yard TD. It never seemed like we stopped them.

I have to agree with Austin in that I was very suprised to see Jabari as the tailback in that series. He has had success in that past against the Gators though.
