Yemi!!! Best game I've seen him play. I though second chance points was gonna bite us but great freethrow shooting goes a LONG way down the stretch. I think Jordan was 9-9??? Great defense. This is one we can put in our back pockets to pull out in March when it's tournament time. So proud of these guys for fighting. They deserved this one!

Amazing things happen when u make free throws...and did it mostly without Stokes....great win...

Very nice win. Greg Marshall is a good coach and being mentioned as a candidate for UCLA.

I still can't believe how well the post played without Stokes or Maymon. Yemi played the best game of his UT career. Good game and win against team that will be dancing in March. GBO!

It's very nice to see a big win against a pretty good team. We needed this one big time. Congrats Vols !

Great win.

What I loved about tonight was that we finally were committed to attacking the rim. I felt like we hadn't done it enough so far this year, so the fact that we did it tonight was refresing to see.

If we stay committed to attacking the rim and keep playing great defense we will be fine.

Get that momentum going for Memphis.
I think this is the first game I've watched that our guards played like Martin expects them to. Take it to the glass and draw the foul.
McRae was impressive tonight.
Hope Golden plays like this the rest of the season.
Cut down the turnovers and we could be very hard to beat at home.

Yeah I hope Wichita st has a great rest of the year to help make us look better.. Ill be pulling for them.. I think they'll continue to do really well.

I can't recall McRae playing as well as he did tonight.

yes! If Si wasn't so cool, i'd break out the McRae avy again but i'd probably jinx him haha. I also noticed that McRae is really vocal. Not sure what is going on with Stokes. He really needs to work on his footwork. He got jammed up anytime he dribbled in the paint. Defenders were jumping at him and he looked lost. l

Do some of y'all think they played better cause JS was in foul trouble, and no JM to bale them out either. So instead of looking for someone else to do it, they were thinking I have to do it cause there ain't nobody else. If so this could be the game they grew up in??? I just can't believe we beat that team with that line up!!!! Good win!!!

IMO, yes and no. Stokes laying eggs does not help at all. It gives guys like Hall and Yemi a chance to do well but they haven't been reliable on a consistent basis but neither has Stokes. . With Maymon, the team had to get better and that's been the problem. So much of our offense would have went through Maymon and now your asking more from our post and they aint producing. I'm still shocked we had the success we had with Stokes struggling and don't really see us doing well if he doesn't play better.

awesome win against a good team. we should definitely be 8-3 going into the memphis game. Xavier is highly overrated and we get them at home. GO VOLS!

Is Stokes underachieving or just having a tough stretch? He should be averaging 17-20 a game, no excuse.
