Mt Juliet pastor calls autism, epilepsy, other diagnosis "demon possession"

He’s not actually wrong about any of that. I disagree with his conclusion, but what part of the rest did you disagree with?

Mail in ballot rules were relaxed.
Some areas had insanely high % of Biden mail in ballots
judges were involved in those laws
LOL. I disagree with his assertion that believing the 2020 Presidential Election was a valid outcome, is equally as preposterous as believing that people with autism are actually possessed by demons.

Just because a video has a lot of views doesn't directly correlate to those same viewers supporting what they are viewing. It is more likely they were viewing it out of morbid curiosity as opposed to indoctrination.
98% of the people who have watched that video are hate-watching it so they can laugh and point "Look at those crazy Trumpers." It's akin to a video of Farrakhan getting posted on Breitbart and getting a ton of views.

Since no one was able to answer my question...well Ash did but I asked a poorly constructed question...I searched out how Republican/Right leaning/Conservative social media is monitored.

Turns out there are groups devoted to the task.

No one here ever heard of Locke until today. And yet he is a evangelical svengali with a formidable following of devotees awaiting his orders.
That wouldn't be true if you follow The Tennessean. They have covered him extensively over the last 6 years.

Here are some links to a few of their stories on Greg Locke :

Correct 1 person did.

CNN interviewing someone is not the path to mass exposure

It does speak to whether I had heard of him before today.

@McDad was wrong!

A few of my friends with children on the spectrum were very upset about it; it had come through a couple of their support networks.

I know there are several people here who have never heard of the guy, but he is dangerous. He is picking up followers at a rapid pace and has influence within Independent Fundamentalist Baptist and Patriot Church circles.

His church actually has a brick and mortar building, but he prefers the aesthetic of preaching in the tent.
The church really is tiny and doesn’t have many members at all.

I wouldn't read the Tennesseean if you paid me by the word.

I note how much you've mentioned him in your posts over the last 6 years though.

I think that kind of further proves the point. The only people who have heard of him, outside his own church members, are people who hate watch/hate read the stuff in the media about him. Articles like that in The Tennesseean or CNN are red meat for their audiences. I had no clue who the guy was until this thread was started.

Russia Gate? The difference between left and right wing conspiracies is that we all just call left wing conspiracy theories “the news”

The one that still gets me is the Michael Brown case.

This thing has been dissected, investigated, looked at from every possible angle. The conclusion given by local, state, and national elected officials (many of whom were black democrats), and law enforcement at every level, and the courts….rebuked every media narrative!

He was a gentle giant, just going about his day, when this evil white supremacist cop harassed him, and eventually murdered him. “Hands up. Don’t shoot!” They said.

And despite the fact that the story has been completely rebuked with actual facts (such as witness testimony and evidence that has been professionally analyzed by people at every level of Govt) Michael Brown still gets mentioned alongside actual victims of police brutality. Hands up don’t shoot is still a thing. The narrative lives on.

Ain’t that the truth? I haven’t looked at that liberal rag in over a decade…. I read one too many liberal word diarrhea opinion pieces by SARITHA PRABHU for my liking. If I wanted to read things written by special Ed students I’d have been a teacher.

To be equally balanced, I don't read any conservative rags either.

I have met multiple people that believe that things like Autism are demonic possession. I disagree with that. I have also met those who think that cancer is a "spirit"....perhaps the spirit of death. I also disagree with that because we know that cancer is caused by things that we can explain in almost all circumstances. I have seen real fear, and experienced personally, myself diabolical or negative "ghostly" things. They aren't fun. Now, to think that every negative thing that happens to us or others is because of a demon is flat out ridiculous.

It reminds me of Antifa for the right.
The rightwing media convinced you guys it was some significant group when it was pretty much nothing.....something most had no idea even existed unless they consumed rightwing media.
Same thing they are doing with CRT. Most on the left had never even heard of it until the right became obsessively driven by the media.

According to reformationcharlotte.org Locke used the term "demonized". He did not say demon possessed. Demonized isn't the same as demon possessed.
It is possible Locke doesn't know that and used the wrong term.
As of right now, we only have "progressive's" word on what he said and his meaning.

Or those of us with family in the area who have run into his adherents.
