if this had been Barry Bonds, he'd have taken one of his steroid needles stabbed the guy in the heart.

I didn't care that much for Jr. at first, but watching how he's managed to quietly put together a Hall of Fame career, avoid scandal and stick with a Reds team that has seen better times, he's won me over as well.

too bad he doesn't play for the Braves. ;)

For the record the Mets aren't even the favorite team in their own city, and the Reds suck.

This story is starting to get major national attention. Gotta love it! Good to see a top notch athlete have a little fun with a heckling fan instead of trying to jump in the stands and go after him. Now how long before it's on eBay? lol

P.S.: It's really a shame it's not a guy like Jr. going for Arrons record instead of a dope like Bonds.

Injuries. If you extrapolate Griffey's stats to the point where he'd played 150ish games a year, he'd easily have over 700 home runs right now. And since he's five years younger than Bonds, there's no question who'd finish on top.

As it is, the only current player with a decent shot at unseating Bonds is Alex Rodriguez. Maybe Pujols, but it's a little too early to talk about him yet.

Griffey is a chump. i've always wished my reds would trade his sorry butt. i went a game one time and my daughter went up to griffey and asked him for his autograph, and the loser doing nothing but sitting on top of the dugout just said i'm busy go away. he is a chump. they were playing the bluejays in interleague and some of there players felt bad and came over and signed my daughters ball. griffey was always my daughters favorite player, but all that changed on that day. i guess if you make 13 million a year and forget to take your pills you dont have to sign balls. like i said he is a chump. i still hope they get rid of him.:good!:
