So........who is going to watch it this weekend? I was hoping to see it live but have to be in Nashville to help with my fiance's family.
I think Jackson will KO Griffin but I think Griffin is tougher than Jackson thinks. Griffin doesnt have great KO power but is EXTREMELY tough and has a great chin.

I can't get over how much better Page is since he hooked up with Juanito.

I am concerned about Forrest, as he's definitely a tough SOB. But I can't see one thing that he does definitively BETTER than Rampage.

I think it'll take 3, but I call TKO (punches) as well.

now if I could only find a bar around here to show it.....

While I'm at it....

Dawson, make your picks for the whole card. Maybe we can get a pool-style thing going for all three of us on here that actually pay attention.

Main Card:

205 lbs: Quinton Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin--TKO 3rd
185 lbs: Patrick Cote vs. Ricardo Almeida--Sub 2nd
155 lbs: Gleison Tibauvs. Joe Stevenson --UDec
170 lbs: Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Lytle--TKO 2nd (I have a hunch)
155 lbs: Tyson Griffin vs. Marcus Aurelio--UDec

Undercard:

265 lbs: Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Justin McCully
155 lbs: Cole Miller vs. Jorge Gurgel
155 lbs: Melvin Guillard vs. Dennis Siver
155 lbs: Corey Hill vs. Justin Buchholz

I'd agree, but I hope you don't think Cote is going to sub Ricardo Almedia? I hope you did that wrong. Almedia is going to sub Cote in round one. If Almedia can weather the storm of Cote.

Melvin Guillard has the Potential to KO anyone at LW just depends on which Melvin shows up.

Other than that I pretty much agree!

Rampage KO 3rd round.

Main Card:

205 lbs: Quinton Jackson vs. Forrest Griffin--TKO 2nd
185 lbs: Patrick Cote vs. Ricardo Almeida--TKO 2nd This one however could be Almeida in a submission in the 3rd. Cote has such good KO power and is fighting for a chance to face Anderson Silva.
155 lbs: Gleison Tibauvs. Joe Stevenson --TKO 3rd
170 lbs: Josh Koscheck vs. Chris Lytle--TKO 2nd
155 lbs: Tyson Griffin vs. Marcus Aurelio--TKO 3rd

Undercard:

265 lbs: Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Justin McCully
155 lbs: Cole Miller vs. Jorge Gurgel This fight I could care less about. Could go either way depending on the attitude of Cole Miller.
155 lbs: Melvin Guillard vs. Dennis Siver KO-1st
155 lbs: Corey Hill vs. Justin Buchholz

Tyson Griffin is going to destroy Aurelio.

Forrest Griffin will get knocked the eff out in the 2nd, although I would be happy with either fighter wiining

WOW, what a great card. Not a lot of KOs like I though but some damn good fights. I had the prediction that the Koscheck-Lytle fight would be the best and it certainly turned out to be one of the most graphic fights I have seen in a long time.

it was great fight...marred by a questionable decision. I've always thought that to win the championship, you have to beat the champion. All Forrest did was hang with Jackson IMO. But despite that I'm pumped for the rematch already.....Especially since there are rumors it could take place in Memphis, inlight of the recent decision to allow MMA in Tennessee.

I am pretty bummed, but not mad about a bad decision.

Rampage simply didn't do ENOUGH to win that fight, especially in the 5th. Forrest fought his ass off, and deserves it.

Now then, the question of a rematch (which should happen ASAP--I'd say November) hinges on the health of Rampage's knee.
