-He's been to Texas before

-His wife knows people there

-Gruden has land in Texas

-He parted his hair in the middle so that means he's going to Tx since its in the middle of the US

if you read the Saban rumors they were almost word for word what was posted here during the Gruden episode. Can't wait to see if happen to them again

All of those orange ties he was wearing last year on MNF makes sense now. He's wasn't coming here , he was headed to Texas all along .

Well as we already know if true then an announcement cant be made until after the NFL season because of the MNF contract.

Well if you think about it, when Grudenmania surrounded Knoxville last year, it seemed the sticking point was big bucks for Gruden AND big bucks for his assistants. It wouldn't surprise me to see Texas offer Chucky $8 mil and lay out another $5 mil for his assistants.

gruden is the most over-hyped, overrated commodity in football. his nfl cred is slightly better than weasel boy's (aka kiffen). lame was only axed by the raiders. unless he could somehow get tony dungy to precede him at texas for a couple of years, i'd bet that within a couple more years, they'd be nostalgic for mackovic. i suspect gruden will stay exactly where he is and keep flirting with needy programs, feeding his ego and reminding himself that he is the greatest college coach who never was.

This is just down right laughable that this happens again and again, and that people fall for it. You would have thought as much as people laughed at us over Gruden that they would dismiss this speculation. Nope.

I think the sticking point was that there was a group of liars that wanted some ecred on the off chance it happened.
