Will this be a problem for us? I think our coach likes to recruit tons of guards. I understand it if he was still at a mid-major because it's harder to get bigger guys. You have to get dudes that just shoot threes all day. Are we really going to live and die by the three?!

We need somebody who can hit the three consistently. Something we have not had since Lofton-Smith.

I'd rather play 3 smalls,one mid and one big, as opposed to being outmatched at every position.

Well i do not think we have any good point guards now. So recruit them.

No doubt we need big men, but the next two years worth of classes is weak on big men. My personal belief when you look at how the mid majors are playing that you need to recruit the cream of the mid major prospects that are also going to get their grades and wind up with four and five year seniors that can play with an occasional surprise junior going pro. The one and dones are nice and all, but I think this is the best way to build a consistent program. Recruit shooting, defense, IQ, and rebounding. A lot of time those top recruits are supreme athletes. That can be a crap shoot on whether it translates (we have a few and have had a few that haven't gotten there yet).

Pearl wasn't bringing in any big men this year, so it's not just CCM. We are in on Porter but there's just not that many bigs still available that can play.

If we had a guard or two that could hit the three consistently it would open up the interior of the defense played against us and would make the bigs we have contribute a lot more than they have been able to lately.
