OMG! I could NEVER abandon my child..no matter what he was doing! That is what the unconditional love of a parent is about. Of course, I don't have teenagers, yet!
This law was clearly designed to protect infants from being left in trash cans, etc. Sad sad sad...Parenting is the hardest job ever!
