Gus Johnson

It seems that he has a force over any game he calls that always makes it close at the end.

I love Gus Johnson.

If I'm not mistaken Gus Johnson was the announcer for either the Nets or the Knicks and was let go before the season started. Go figure? I remember listening to the Dan Patrick Show and Dan couldn't believe he was let go. Gus can make any simple play (basketball or football) sound like it's the greatest ever.

I love listening to the joy Gus has while commentating. He really brings the fan aspect without openly rooting for a team. Bilas, Rafferty, and Fraschilla are still my favorite color guys along with Gus. Those 3 all bring valuable insight to a broadcast.

I would have paid good money if he would have called last year's men's title game with that finish. Gus Johnson rules.

I love Gus Johnson. He gets a terrible AFC game from CBS every week during the football season but seems to have weird luck for getting crazy endings and it is a joy to hear the insane excitement in his voice when the game gets crazy. In a perfect world LSU should sign him up to do all of their football games as long as Les is there.

The perfect TV combo would be Gus Johnson and Jay Bilas. I love how Johnson commentates with enthusiasm ,but doesn't show an obvious rooting interest towards any team. I like Bilas, because in every game I have seen him commentate, he's been fair. I can't say that about most analysts. I know he does work the NCAA Tournament for CBS. I'd like to see Gus and Jay paired up.

I would have loved to have seen Gus Johnson call the Giants-Patriots Super Bowl in 08. I know a lot of people like Joe Buck ,but he really blew the call on perhaps one of the greatest moments in Super Bowl history (Manning scramble and throw/catch to Tyree). Look it up on youtube. He had no enthusiasm whatsoever. Overall, I've never been too crazy about the Buck/Aikman combo.
