You now play No. 9 Notre Dame. Its gut check time, boys and girls and I encourage you to take a look at what UF did to right its own ship.

I know UGA did not have Shockley and I imagine that was a big deal in the outcome. But consider this: 1) in the first series of the prior three games, the Gators had less than 30 yards of total offense; 2) UGA had not been scored upon by an opponent in the first series all year long.

Whereupon the Gators confidently marched 80 yards in a 6 minute drive.

It can be done. The Gators had not shown the ability to move the ball and admittedly still had problems in this UGA game. But with their backs against the wall, they stood up, put their heads down, and plowed forward.

UT is in a similar predicament. As Urban Meyer said after this game, you don't know what kind of team you have when everything goes really well and you keep winning. You know what kind of character your team has when they are beaten and criticized and frustrated.

Its gut check time for UT.

You got rid of the zooker and the rest of the dead weight coaches. That's what we need to do with RS and the rest of the coaches on offense.

Please don't use the word "gut" around our team. It's not politically correct. :D

I'm not sure if this team can sustain another gut check. I think they left it all on the field in death valley.

Maybe so in the long run. But that won't help you this coming Saturday. Just to prove you have the talent, would be nice to see UT score some points and gain some yardage. Even if the ressurection of UT football requires cleaning house for the coaches, the place to start as a team is this Saturday.

I certainly hope so. I would love to win out and go 7-4. I just don't see it happening though. The offense is just too absymal to get the job done. I hope I'm wrong, but I think we're 6-5 at best, possibly 5-6.
