Obama should get credit for doubling the stock market, catching bin laden, catching qadaffi, saving our country from another great depression, lowing unployment and reforming wall street. Basicslly said he is the best president this country had had and represents everything good w America. That he earned everything he has through hard work, and took the noble route of public service vs private sector greed.

The stock market is growing now because Obama is powerless due to the congress being republican. Stock market look for stability in laws (or laws that might be passed) because a law can impact a stock one way or another. Right now Obama is very powerless and this helps. It is also believed by many he will not get re-elected which is causing faith in the stock market.

Your friend is wrong.

While I don't think he's been an abject failure like most on VN think, I certainly think your co-worker is high, brain damaged, or slightly mentally challenged. More disappointment from Obama than positives in my mind.

To be honest, I am better off now than I was under the previous administration. However, I am under no illusions that Obama had very much if anything to do with that.

Bush sucked too.

Also, most of the effects that people are going to feel from the Obama regime is going to be felt moving forward not now. He was smart in placing most of his crap laws to go into effect years from now after his re-election.

My 401k is up 14% this year. Most should have rebounded from the debacle of 07-08.

thrasher I know for a fact that businesses make decisions based upon laws that may or may not be passed and this in return changes how they will either grow or hold onto their cash reserves.

Anyone who thinks other wise has never been part of a business or worked high up on a chain in a business.

a president has no actual control over the stock market but the ceos and cfos do make decisions based on political environment and this does dictate stock.
