I don't think Sherwood Blount is as big of a player as he was back in the 80's. He was the primary money man linked with SMU. Used to see his name on an absurd number of commercial realty signs in the Dallas suburbs. Now, very seldom see his name anywhere and most of the time when I have, it would be on signs that have been there a VERY long time. He may very well be dead by this point.
