Halloween Horror Nights

Does anyone else go? The wife and I try to go every year.

Yes. I went this year in Orlando. It’s really good. They put much more effort into it than Busch Gardens does with Hallowscream, but there’s too much gore, intestines spilling, and just overall gross stuff for my liking. I wouldn’t mind it if like half of the houses were gory, but it’s nearly every single one. My favorite house this year was The Ghostbusters. The special food trucks were much better this year than last. We got a little bit of everything, and it was all delicious.

Nice, We are going this weekend. We are passholders so we get a free ticket for Sunday. Saturday we have tickets with fast passes and then Sunday we are doing a behind the scenes tour

I got a Stay Puft smore. It was delicious, and adorable. I also encourage you to buy some food in the “A Quiet Place” zone.

The day after, we went to City Walk, and ate brunch at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. This place is just complete nonsense, and I love every bit of it.

That’s awesome. Have you been there before? I had bought candy from there in the past, but have only eaten there the one time this month.
It has been a hot minute since we have been to that restaurant. Back in July when we were down we went to Mythios at Islands of Adventure on the Lost Continent and that was really good. The inside was so cool too

Yes! I have been to Mythos. I got the scallops there, and they were so good. I got the French toast burger at Chocolate Emporium, and the mint chocolate milk shake (pictures above). I was stuffed!

I did 5 nights a couple weeks ago. Also did SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Howl O Scream. Enjoyed all of them. With HHN, I liked going over around 11pm and staying til 2. You can a lot in that last hour or two if you want.

We did the multi-night September pass. If you need/want to save on hotels, we stayed at the Best Western right behind Dockside and used their shuttle. It's about a 3 min walk. 5 nights were under $400 after capital one shopping kickback.

Did Busch Gardens Williamsburg haunt even yesterday and today. Hitting up King Dominion Halloween event Sunday.

How was Busch Gardens Williamsburg’s Hallowscream? I went a few times in the late 2000s, and it was awesome. I went again in 2022, and it was AWFUL. The effort they put into it was terrible. The haunted house designs had barely any detail at all. And worst of all, there were hardly any restaurants open at all. The Festhaus was open, but that was pretty much it. And because it was the only place open, it was way too crowded to sit anywhere. Yeah, I was really bummed out, because I remember it being so good a decade or so ago.

BGW - We went on Thursday, their first Thursday of the Halloween season. Park was dead with no lines. Haunted houses were fairly good, but again, it was Thursday so a bit light on staff.

Friday it rained a good amount here. They had at least 2 of the 5 houses closed due to them being outside. Most coaster were down much of the day. Park closed at 9 because of rain and a light crowd. Still got on Loch Ness and a few others.

BGW isn't my favorite park but we enjoyed our visit. They have some good, unique coasters but nothing really great. Halloween shows are pretty good.
