Why does Pearl not come out and say this?

Not that it matters what someone says (see Tubberville, Calipari and others).

Nail on the head there...I agree...Why has Bruce not came out and said anything...This makes me believe he is leaning that way...Billy D came right out and killed the rumors but not happening here makes me believe this might be true!

Isn't Mr. SEC.com Jimmy Hyams? Might as well go ahead and hire the search committee and get this thing under way.

Here's a question:

When was the last time a major D-1 coach left his current job to go directly to another school (at the same level) in the same state? I can't think of any.

The reason pearl hasnt said anything is because the longer the rumors are out there, the more tennessee will get worried and thats when dollars are added to contracts and extentions.

I really hope this is true. was there something on ESPN.com about Pearl traveling to Memphis? I am here in Memphis and most Memphis fans I talk to say they don't want Pearl, so just keep him at Tennessee!

CBP is in Detroit today, as the article says, presenting the Adolph Rupp Coach of the Year Award to Rick Pitino. Will be back this afternoon to sit down with Mike Hamilton.

CBP is going no where and will issue a statement after he an MH meet.

Memphis will end up with Nolan Richardson.

I would be shocked if Memphis hired Nolan Richardson.

CBP is playing this out to get a salary adjustment at UT....not much more to this I think.

I think John Pennington puts together the website and does most of the blogging. Hyams and others contribute. I know there aren't many (if any) Hyams fans on here, but I enjoy Pennington's work.
