Should the CowGirls draft the tight end from UNC, then Jason could see his impact decline over the next two seasons until his eventual retirement.

Would like for him to surpass Gonzales records as a tight end but Gonzales will still be playing at the age of 82 and racking up stats.

It's funny, when he came out, he and Dallas Clark were pretty much the consensus top 2 tight ends in the draft from all the NFL pundits. And then I remember watching the draft and seeing all the guys getting picked ahead of him. LJ Smith? Teyo Johnson? BENNIE JOPPRU?!?!?!? I kept wondering what the NFL execs had seen that most of the rest of us had missed. Turns out, sometimes you can spend millions in scouting and still completely miss the obvious.

Happy birthday to one of my all-time favorite Vols! I used to call him Mr. Third down bc he converted so many crucial third downs for us. I can still remember seeing him dragging 3 bama defenders on one particular play.
