As I’m getting ready for Trick-R-Treaters, it’s always nice for me to see some orange out there outside of Rocky Top… even when it’s a few shades off of PMS 151.

I don’t post any of my musings or thoughts outside of VOLNATION… but I do look at other sites like SECRant and Saturday Down South especially when our football season unfolds. For any of you who do post outside this forum, here’s some ideas of what I’ve held back as come-backs to some silly threads:

- Bama. I read a lot of Bama fans talking about the “tasty tears” of VOL fans. To me, there has never been anymore “Tasty Tears” than the ones she’d by their head coach last year arguing that the Tide deserved a CFB berth after losing to both VOLS and LSU Tigers. It’s one thing for “fans” to “cry,” but certainly more entertaining for a future HOF coach to cry to anyone and everyone that his team was good enough.

- Florida. Seems like a lot of LSU fans make fun that VOLS lost to Gators this year in the swamp…. The actual Gator fans are really depressed that they are becoming more irrelevant. Some do thump their chest that their team got a “signature win” this year against our VOLS but they really don’t appreciate that we are trying to rebuild just like them.

- Georgia. Reading UGA “fans” posts is difficult for me… they have really become as obnoxious and feel entitled like some Bama fans in the past. They certainly have forgotten sportsmanship or simple decorum over past 2 years. Pride leads the fall… hoping Mizzou, Ole Miss, and out VOLS all give them the beat-down for them to return to Earth.

- Kentucky. Don’t have much to say other than real VOL fans don’t consider them a rival… just like Vandy.

- USCjr. The days of Spurrier are over (just like Dooley, Butch, and cornbread). If NCAA finds that Wolverine’s helped the Gamecocks upset VOLS and Clemson, I would have no sympathy for the entire coaching staff there being placed on the proverbial pyre…. as much as I enjoyed Muschamp being fired from both UF and USCjr.

Go VOLS!

if it turns out Michigan helped out USCe, man what a giant mess that will be to figure out. As bad as the NCAA is at doling out punishment how are they going to figure out how to punish a team (USCe) that took data from another school (Mich) that sent a staff member out to film and then compare to what plays were called.

Oddly enough-not a single one here this year-that's a first. Last year I had to go to Walgreens to buy more candy.

Looks like I'm going to be snacking on Snickers and Twix during the game Saturday.

Had 3 last year and 0 this year.

We debating on getting any candy, but you know 30 kids would then show up.

Usually we have averaged about 40-50 a year. First few years I lived here we had hundreds-they would come in waves of like 20 at a time. I used to just sit in a chair at the end of the driveway to make things easier Just seemed weird to not have any.

I learned a long time ago to just buy the Candy I like. Looks like I'll be having a snack size Twix or Snickers with lunch for like the next three months lol.

I think that there are a lot of "Trunk or Treat" things going on now that parents are taking their kids to before they start going door to door. That is most likely why there is a lower volume of the little ones going to homes now.
