Happy 4th everybody! (Yes, even the trolls from other schools!) Already have the Tennessee Volunteers canopy and coolers set up outside. Ready to spend the day with my family playing cornhole, eating burgers and dogs, drinking brews, and rubbing this day in my British wife's face! (Ironic, huh?)

It's kind of like tailgating at Neyland for me. What will y'all be doing today?

Sounds like good fun man! Me and the family headed out to visit other family. Typical. Should be fun. Seriously though, Happy 4th to all Vols and don't be shy about sharing your pride for your country. It's becoming less and less popular to do, especially amongst the younger crowd, and one day may not be all that common. Teach your kids what the 4th of July is all about and help them to appreciate the sacrifice that was made so that the rest of us can enjoy our freedom.

I love today. We celebrate the birth of our nation but more importantly we celebrate the fighting spirit of our ancestors, the courage it took for common citizens to stand and prevail against tyranny. Unfortunately, my 4th of July plans were cancelled today. My uncle is in ICU after having surgery for a 90% blockage of an important artery.

It's a good day to remember those early Volunteers who crossed the mountains in 1780 and stuck it to the Spurrier-esque British general Patrick Ferguson and his band of South Carolina loyalists.

Happy 4th! Not only celebrating our country's independence and our independence from Dooley:)....sorry(been watching old games all day cause rain)
