Happy they did a ranking of the Schedules

Can’t wait to see what LSU’s SOS is ranked! The only 2 ranked teams they play are only because they’re in their conference and they have to. Whoever does their scheduling needs to be fired!

Kim schedules weak teams every year because she often gets out coached against anyone with a pulse with similar talent. Without a massive talent advantage she isn’t capable of beating those teams

She's been doing that for years cupcaking OOC schedules then loading up on wins to get a "Fake Ranking" then facing true talent in conference play. She did it at Baylor bc the Big 12 was weak as hell always , the only time she actually scheduled true opponents were in the BG years . Last season she used "The schedule" was already preset by the previous coach "Fargas" and this year the schedule looks even worse. LSU will be top 5 by the time Conference play starts that way when they lose it wont be so many L's in the column and they end up with a top 5 seed due to "Coach Prestige" lol that same prestige that could not get out the 2nd round last season.

North Carolina doing the same thing. Last year slaughtered cupcake teams and kept a high ranking all year. Lost to good teams and still got credit for playing them.

Will be just like last year UConn will be in the lead in sos until the conference schedules then they will fall flat. I know they have to play who is in their conference, but once the conference schedules are played both Tennessee and SC will have played tougher schedules than theirs.

And Still yet a better coach than Dawn Staley.

Apparently there’s a conspiracy that no one wanted to play them this year. 🥴😂

It’s not a conspiracy theory. Dawn said out of her own mouth teams didn’t want to play this year. They made it clear they didn’t want to play SC until after the 2019 class left.

I believe it. We had the same problem which is why some players aren’t getting homecoming games for their senior year. If it’s happening to us I’m sure after how SC played last season there are coaches who’d prefer to hold off lol

Just because she said it, doesn’t make it not a conspiracy lol. Dawn is always flapping her jaw without any proof to backup what she’s saying.

So you don’t think it’s a coincidence no one wanted to play SC this year? I mean let’s be real, SC is like UConn when it comes to Non conference scheduling. It’s crazy how all of a sudden all of the big time schools sans UConn and Stanford are absent? What happened to Kelly Graves pulling out with the home and home? Dawn doesn’t duck anyone we all know this…

I would have to agree, it really makes little to no sense for her to schedule the way she has after the schedule they had last year. It’s a travesty to the game though, because I can’t think of how many times UCONN never had a problem getting big non conference games scheduled.

Once teams caught up to Tennessee, they stopped wanting to play us as well some years. They used Pat wanting to grow the game against her. Like one poster said about Kim she only wanted to play everyone when she had Griner and company.

You can say that about several coaches. Posters in this group just love to hate her and it’s obvious.

I am NOT a Dawn sympathizer by ANY means. But, i'm going to cut her the smallest amount of slack because we could not get a homecoming game for some of the ladies. UNC was having NO parts of us before they had too, Duke (Kara was not looking our way), and look at Vic, he lost Rickea and he didn't renew the series. With that being said I definitely think she could have beefed up the schedule but she just may have had some teams pass on her that she wanted to play.

Those teams that didn't play us look at their schedules we would have only helped them because Banghart should be ashamed of herself with that schedule. I saw someone mention Mulkey too. She has been known for doing this for years. Unless she had a generational talent she won't play a top 50 schedule. This year she won't have the SEC to help her out with a bunch of teams so she is going to have to make a good showing there in the conference.

To be fair they did have a good stretch after Griner where they played teams like UCONN and Stanford, UCLA, USF and played in a couple high profile OOC tournaments but for the most part 90% of her scheduling will be cupcakes.

I for one am still disappointed by this years schedule of all of Kim's years. You have Angel Reese, Alexis Morris and some very talented role players and freshmen. That schedule is a joke relative to the talent they have.

UNC had a great run in the NCAA tournament so they ended up being legit anyway.

Yup. They gave South Carolina their toughest game of the tournament.

Having a tough regular season schedule is great, but come tournament time it's mostly about matchups.
