I don't know how many of you watched the end of Bama-LSU game last night, but I have lost what little respect I did have for Les Miles after what he allowed to happen to his quarterback. The poor guy had already been sacked 2 times in a row, then he goes for it on 4th and 28 in a game that is already over. After that final sack and the camera shows him dragging himself off the field, just painful to watch. This showed total disrespect for his qb. Miles is a total prick.

I didn't agree with Miles going for it in that situation. But that offensive line deserves a lot of the blame. They didn't even try on that series.

That's true and Mosley stated after the game that you could see it in their eyes that they had quit. After 2 hits, you knew he was going down, ridiculous decision by head coach.

Don't blame him for going for it, But you can't have an empty back field in that situation, They're going to come after him and you need a back to save your QB. Leaving him out to dry was the dumb mistake.

Sorry to admit to Saban - I shut the TV off when Alabama had it sealed - about 4 minutes left, -- how much time was left in the game when this play happened and was the qb still Mettenberger ?

Yes he was still in and less than 2 minutes, it was 4th and 28 yards, and lsu went for it. He had already been sacked 2 times, and got killed on that last play. He crawled off the field drawing his leg, stupid. Bama took a knee 2 times game over.

As you said, game was over, why risk your QB on such a play? A real puzzler.

Mettenberger should have let the snap sail away then - LSUs AD should suspend Miles a game or two

2 minutes left, 4th and goal from their own 33, down 3 TDs. It was a really baffling decision, especially since the O-Line basically stood up and let Bama's pass rush run through untouched on 4 straight plays.

Les could run over a baby and I still have more respect for him than any Bammer. I turned it off when they went for that 4th down in the redzone and missed it.

Or let his qb get sacked 3 times in a series and crawl off the field dragging his leg, if you respect that, speaks volumes of your character.

No. His offensive line let him get sacked three times. He's a football player doing exactly what he was recruited to do. Stop being a baby. You'd have a much better argument talking about how classless the Alabama defense was for sacking him three times instead of blaming Les Miles.

Wasn't the defense doing what they were recruited to do? No one to blame here but the O-line. You can't let your quarterback get hit like that.

My point exactly. No idea why someone would blame the head coach cos your oline decided to quit
