Uh, okay?
How'd the Pistons win a championship then...
And why did the Heat lose in the championship to the Mavs?
Mavs didn't have three top 20 players or the best player.
We'll see... The Heat may be the favorite but don't be too shocked if the Heat get bounced in the finals if not by the Knicks or Pacers. The Pacers were up 2-1 on them in the playoffs last year and were 2-1 against the Heat during the regular season this season. Pacers also beat the Heat last season the last time they played. So if you're keeping count, the Heat are 5-5 against the Pacers in the last 10 games. Heat beat the Pacers in the playoffs when it counted but whose to say they would again? The Celtics were old as dirt and the took the Heat to 7. Thunder lost Harden but Durant, Westbrook and Ibaka were all just 23 years old in the finals. They're young enough that they could be improved this season.
Teams with size like the Thunder(Perkins/Ibaka), Pacers(Hibbert/West), Knicks(Chandler/Kenyon), Clippers(Blake/Jordan), and Grizzlies(Gasol/Zbo) all present mismatches. It only takes one team to beat the Heat and those teams have a punchers chance because Chris Bosh is lanky and Joel Anthony/Udonis Haslem are undersized for centers. I'm not saying the Heat aren't the favorites but they're not invincible. I wouldn't chalk them up as the champions just yet. And I certainly wouldn't chalk up the Thunder/Spurs as making the finals. The Clippers, Grizzlies and Nuggets could easily take them down. If I was predicting, I would pick the Thunder and Heat to go to the finals but I'm not penciling them as a sure thing. Both can be beaten and if the Heat/Thunder have your attitude, they will be.
