What are the Volnation thoughts? Are there any telling signs or rumors that shape your opinion and why?

I'd rather them stay, but hey that's just me.

i would really like for them to stay, but i don't like all the distractions they are causing. we really need them ,but if they feel they will make it, then that;s what they should do.

Harris to stay and Hopson to go in my opinion. The two of them never gelled.

Harris to be the featured player next year at the 4 position will get him top 10 pick in 2012 draft

How are they distracting, who are they distracting, and what are they distracting these distracted people from?

Honestly, as I hear more and more kids talking about staying for another year, it may be in their best interest to get that payday right now. Sucks, but it's the best move economically. Why wait for Sullinger, the trifecta of Tarheels, etc. as well as next year's freshmen when you can go now and get picked earlier cause they're not in it?

he would be a top ten next year. these guys better wait, the nba might not even have a season next year, then what do they do ?

They get a guaranteed contract if they're taken in the 1st round. Both have a much better chance at a higher draft pick if the best players aren't going pro this year.

do they still get paid if the season goes down the drain
? i don't think so if they are locked out.

I heard that Scotty is now dipping his foot in some overseas stuff (Turkey) so that's a bad sign for him IMO. Tobias will come down to what his dad thinks. My gut is saying they are both gone :dunno:

They don't get paid for that year, but they're contract wouldn't be null and void. If everyone returning this year pushes Scotty into the late 1st round, he's gonna have a 1st round contract and 1st round money once the lockout is over. He'll also have a 1-up on all of next year's entrants because he'll (hopefully) be able to work with NBAers instead of NCAAers. If Scotty goes pro this year, he gets drafted (easily) and could go in the 1st round. If he waits until next year, not only is it up in the air, but he contends with all of this year's draftees who are skipping the NBA as well as all of next year's stars.

Agree about Hopson but I kind of think Harris will stay. I think he and his dad will like this staff and how they can develop his game. I may very well be dead wrong.

Potential lockout amongst other things. Jmo though.

I'd be surprised a tad if both don't come back to be honest. I think both could benefit tremendously from another season at the college level.
