SO GLAD this guy went to ND and didnt come to UT. He may be the worst safety in division 1 football. He must've missed 10 tackles today and atleast two of them went for TD's. Not to mention he got trucked multiple times.. wow. This guy is the Anti-Berry.

I didn't watch most of that game, but the one play I saw was the play where he tried to drag the guy down from behind by the jersey and the guy carried him like an extra 10 yards.

I went to high school with Harrison and wish him nothing but the best. Wish he would have come to UT. They probably would have moved him to LB where he'd probably be more productive.

Guy was good in high school - but I think he was rated a 4* due to the fact ND offered and went after him hard. Soon as a school like ND offers their stock instantly rises with the recruiting services a lot of the time.

Yes, Golden Tate is the big 'miss' from that class. He is incredibly talented. He would have made a huge difference in our offense.

Harrison Smith could have been a good linebacker at UT but he has no business being a D1 safety

He never had any interest in us.

I don't think The Fired Coach even recruited Tate. He was too busy trying to land other in-state studs like Cory Hall, Chris Donald, Tyler Maples, and BJ Coleman.

Great job, Failmer...

He tried, but Tate didn't like us at all. To be fair, ND wanted Chris Donald badly.

Yes he did, Tate was dead set on continuing his Catholic education at ND though.

Have a clue before you post

My son played summer baseball with Golden - a great young man then and now - 3rd fastest player I have seen on the baseball field (behind weeks and a guy no one will ever hear about)

UT never had a chance with Tate.

I went to HS with golden and know him pretty well. He never even considered UT. He told me he thought UT wasted their players and didn't want to be a part of that. When Fulmer was there, can't say i really disagree with that. I also think that since most of the teachers and coaches were catholic, he was somewhat brainwashed into going to ND. I never once heard an influential figure say I hope you go to UT. Not once. Now that I think about it, seems like i was the only one that ever said he should go to UT. sad really

from about 2006-on in Fulmer's career, can you really argue that point? a very small percent of recruits panned out
