Hart? Cheek? Anyone in the workings?

Why will no one do a Presser or send some form of official release of what is happening and some form of goal or plan of action?

Cause they do not have a know what to do. Everyone is turning us down just getting other coaches bigger pay checks from the schools they are at now

Typically, you dont see an AD or chancellor hold a press conference to announce these three bullet points:

1. The chancellor and/or AD sux
2. We are getting our azz kicked in this coaching search
3. The chancellor and/or AD should be fired today....(in our case, it is Jimmy Cheek...should have been fired yesterday.)

You're both wrong. Butch Davis didn't turn down Colorado because Colorado didn't offer Butch Davis. They offered Butch Jones, who is the head coach at Cincinnati, who did, in fact get blown out by Dooley last year.

Still a good hire, Mallicoat? Maybe, maybe not, but this fan base will burn down Knoxville if we have to resort to this hire.

We as a fan base don't need to know every move being made. Let's have a little trust in him and see how it goes

Since when does the Athletic Department owe Joe Schmo an explanation of their hiring process?

I agree with this comment, yet I do feel that some sort of communication needs to be made. There is a whole nation watching UT fail on coach after coach, recruits are seeing this as well. If nothing more than to come out and give a little assurance that everything is fine and under control. This would be a huge plus, all we are getting right know is nothing.

Excuse me butch jones down the Colorado's job.. do not know much about this guy and his career. I have followed butch davis and he has proven to turn around programs ..

I don't know much about him either, that's why I said "good hire, maybe, maybe not." All I know is that the fanbase will revolt with fire and pitchforks if he's hired, simply because Dooley crushed him in 2011.

If Butch Davis is truly going to be clear of NCAA issues, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

All i can say is hart should have had someone bagged.. committed before firing dooley... god what a mess this is.. better to keep chaney on a leash and make sure they hire a proven coach.. i repeat a proven coach.... do you hear me mr hart...

I know...like what has the numb nutz been doing to the last three months. When I watched the first half of the akron game on sept 22, I knew we were going to need a new coach. That was almost three months ago
