Tressel couldn't beat the SEC with all of his 5 stars, how would he be able too without all the automatic highly ranked recruits OSU gets every year? Petrino would be a perfect fit! HE wouldn't have to change a thing.....a high powered pass happy offense and a absolutely ****ty defense, just like his Arkansas teams. Awesome.

I know many will shoot this idea down but I've always thought that this guy was a great coach. What about Frank Solich? Seriously...the guy should never have been fired from Nebraska and he's done a nice job with Ohio.

Message board UK fans were dead-set on Petrino when the job came open. Then we hired Stoops and everyone seems elated. Then word came from one of our media members that something negative (and I assume, unexpected) was present in Petrino's background check. What that was, he didn't say. Interesting twist if true.

Many were fully expecting Auburn to go after Petrino since they previously tried to lure him while he was at Louisville. For a while everyone thought SEC West programs wouldn't be able to hire him from Arkansas' non-compete, but that was later refuted. Maybe the background check is why they passed on him to get Malzahn.
