Harvick, Edwards catfight

Sounds like Edwards was asking for it. First he leaves the note, then he confronts Harvick in the garage today, then Harvick tries to walk off and gets spun around so Happy plants Edwards on his hood. I can only hope that someone knocks Opie down about 6 pegs and shoves a couple of those pearly whites right down his throat. I used to like Edwards when he first started but he's the personification of a bully and a punk.

good thing they pulled Edwards away after he shoved Harvick as he likely would have mopped the floor with Harvick had he been permitted.

gee, Kevin, you're in the middle of a title hunt. surely you have bigger concerns than making an ass out of yourself every chance you get. learn to keep your mouth shut and these things won't happen.

especially when you're critical of others for the same things you've been guilty of in the past. in this case, it's taking out the field by bump drafting through the turn.

these guys are all talk.

i don't recall seeing any of these younger guys actually ever back up anything they've said, Edwards and Harvick included.

to be fair, that was just a knee jerk reaction post. i'm not a fan of either driver to be honest. i normally don't even get into the 'my dad can kicks you dad's butt' debates. i believe the best way to talk is by driving your car to Victory Lane, which this year has been a lot more Edwards than it has Harvick.

however, i don't think it's any coincidence that Harvick usually finds himself in the middle of these things.

i haven't seen anything from either of them that leads me to believe they're any tougher than any other guy in the garage. all of them like to run their mouths more than they like to do anything it about it.

truth is, at some point i'd like to hear somebody say to anybody who wants to fight in the garage, "ok boys, you've each made your bed. let's see which one of you will sleep in it and which one of you will sleep on the floor."

in the middle of the Chase (and this applies to all drivers) i'd be a lot more concerned with MY race team than taking shots at other drivers in the media.

I thought Harvick was funny when he made the remark about Edwards being a pansy by staying in the back during most of the race. And then in this incident saying Carl might have known how long the front of his car was if he had been racing all day.

I've pulled for Edwards, but it has become obvious he isn't quite the All-American Boy next door type he was portrayed to be. That's not a bad thing in itself, but don't try to pull the wool over the fans eyes.

Personally, I think Carl could take Harvick, he reminds me of the little barking dog. All tough sounding, but nothing there.

Harvick doesn't stand a chance against Edwards. No one in the cup garage does.

But I'm with Kevin, Edwards was asking for it and got what he deserved.

He's not in the Cup garage but Stephen Wallace would give Edwards a fight. That dude has got something most race car drivers now days never heard of, "GRIT"

I know this is gonna sound like a my friend's neighbor's uncle's cousin type deal but I know a guy who dated a girl and her roommate dated carl... according to him Carl is a huge as$ and the whole "aww shucks" personality is just for TV... either way, I lost all respect for him after he jumped at Kenseth on camera.. I wish someone would knock him back down to earth

coming from an ex, i wouldn't expect them to say nice things.

however, some people have been whispering rumors of roid rage and such. i wouldn't be shocked.

Just because Edwards is ripped and all dosen't mean he can handle himself in a throwdown with another driver. I don't always agree with what Harvick says but I do like to hear what he is really thinking and not what is the political thing to say.

Harvick was a wrestler in high school.

With that said, I think Edwards could have easily wipe the floor with Harvick to be 110% honest.

Harvick is a punk. Always has been and always will be. I am sure we will never hear what really happened at the track. Edwards is a pretty ripped dude, If I were a betting man I would take Edwards

This is one of the differences of today's NASCAR and the past. Used to be when drivers had a problem with another driver, they settled it one on one, sometimes it got physical. In neither case was it usually publicized. Today they whine to the media. The rule of thumb back then was "if a guy does me wrong in a race, I've got to settle it right now, or I'll lose not only his respect, but others as well, and be pushed around from now on."

Atta boy Harvick. Don't take any crap from "Mr. Ed." :)

I wish Dale Jr. would have pushed, punched, or did something to Edwards when he came after him in victory lane that one time. I was a little disappointed when he didn't.
