A more dissapointing unit play at ut. These guys have an insane amount of starts and were all highly touted. And were dominated by Vandy! As seniors in their last home game wearing the gray jerseys. I for one can't wait to see a whole new crop of lineman out there next year. In fact I'm excited to see a bunch of new players at just about every position.

The running game was working in spite of the most horrendous qb play I've ever seen at UT.

You're crazy. We ran the ball well, and especially so when you consider that Vandy knew that all we could do is run the ball. You think it is easy to run when there are 7/8 guys in the box--more tacklers than blockers? We saw that on the last Neal run that got stuffed, forcing us to punt the ball late, resulting in the game-winning vandy drive.

It really doesn't matter when you can't throw the ball. Even Vandy can shut down predictable play calling. Balance is key. Yes this Oline never lived up to the praise it got. They never got much help either, this year anyway..

I feel like they could have done better. My emphasis is around 3 and short. That's when the men are separated from the boys and most time we r boys. The passing game has been horrendous this year. This offense is so inept.and why we can not break long runs is baffling to me. Watching many teams it seems once they get past the line of scrimmage usually have to break maybe a tackle well for us its like our oline never gets to second level. We didn't with last scheme either. I am not sure if its scheme or our line. Watching other spread teams they sure do run much more effective than us. And I realize we have no passing threat

I say good riddance to the entire O-Line. Overhyped, lazy and undisciplined (the whole remain still while our QB gets crushed is one of the stupidest things I've seen displayed) (besides fake FG on 4th & 19)...

Big boys...small brains and heart if you ask me...

I'll roll my eyes every time i hear the beat writers and radio dim wits talk about how we lost our whole line and it will hurt. It will be minimal pain imo. Unless teams get jailbreaks every down, i'm not concerned about losing our all world line..

What do you expect when you fire great offensive staff and bring in the big east bearcat joke of a staff? THAT is the reason the o-line regressed.

When we went to 3 wide, Vandy only had 6 in the box- they had 5 DB's out there. We still couldn't run effectively with our 5 lineman and TE vs their 6. 6vs 6 and we didn't win the battle at the line when it counted. The spread is supposed to create that match up and it did. We just couldn't beat them.

Tim Irwin thinks this line is not built for the scheme. I guess you could ble CBJ for not adapting to his scheme to meet the strength of the team.

On a side note we will have a 1000 yard rusher this year for the first time since 2009. Food for thought in bashing the OL.

Did you look closely at the O-line last night and notice every one of them is FAT. They are a bunch of soft, fat boys instead, as seniors, I would expect them to be more physically developed men. And don't give me the "grey is not flattering to your figure" crap. They are all slow out of their stances. I watched Tiny on multiple pass plays let his guy run around him to the outside and then he released contact with him. Each time the rusher ran around him and got back to pressure Dobbs who still held the ball while Tiny stood there and WATCHED.

Our O-line was not in SEC shape at all. I would fire the strength and conditioning coach today after seeing those boys waddle around out there last night.

Didn't seem to stop Ga Southern against the Mighty Gators. What kills me is Lane seemed to get 10 yards a Carry consistently and will be taken out when he gets going and Neal runs right into our o line and drops.

Welcome to football!!!
As part of your further discovery of football education process why don't you tune in to some random NFL game on Sunday and see if you can find any great o-lineman who is NOT fat.

I am not far behind you in your thoughts. Alex Bullard is a pansy and the rest have no mean streak. They have been playing together for yrs and just can not blow anyone off the ball. I have seen enough, in fact the coaching staff who I support have been thoroughly out coached needs a wake up call. If it weren't for recruiting I would be really pissed because I saw a team last night not play to win. And Palardy reverted back to his old self.

He's behind average of his backup who only has had 90 carries...and I think he dances too much and goes down on the first touch MOST of the time...

So two RBs with a 5 ypc is bad?
