They played a great game! There offense is a nitemare to defend and they came into our house and scared us to death. We've gotta get better on special teams before the Florida game!

Yeah... good game by the Falcons.

A lot easier to say that when you win... whew.

They played almost a perfect game on Offense. I am glad we wont see the Flexbone again this year.

Amazing offensive execution. Imagine what those guys could do with that discipline if they had top 20 athletes...

Air force played a smart game on offense, but man did their defense suck.

On a related note, the close score guarantees we'll be watching it here at work today. Now there's a silver lining. 2 hours to go!

I like this thread. Not one we would've seen last year. Good game offense. Ainge doesn't throw that interception and we go up 3 scores. Great offensive game. Tennessee has never been good at stopping that kind of attack. Chavis said the closest thing we've seen to this offense was Nebraska's, ya know, those two times we got stomped by them.

Please answer the burning question . . . Did Air Force get booed?

Not really... no. The students didn't even really whip out the "SUCKS" while the starting roster was being read. Only heard a little bit of that.

I have seen a couple teams run the triple option ( most high school) but I have never seen it ran as perfect as they did tonight! That QB had so many GREAT reads it was ridiculus

He looked like he was playing NCAA '07.

Glad to put this one behind us...

Didn't see it. Was at a party and kept running out to the car to hear the game on Sirius.

Sounded like a gritty performance by the Air Force gang.

Hats off to them as well for going for the win. :salute:

True.....but remember this AF team was fielding almost all srs/jrs ...all position disciplined and executed their game great. The only reason we win this game is our rifleman Ainge going berserk. Hats off :hi: to the young men of AF...they deserve respect cause they dang near pulled it off.

Air Force played one heck of a game! Many will second guess Coach DeBerry's call to go for two........not sure if CPF would have done the same. Wish AF the best of luck during the rest of the season.

All I could think about during those few seconds was the time when Coach Majors went for two and the win instead of walking away with a tie. I have ALWAYS felt like that was the best decision even though everyone and their brother second-guessed the call.

DeBerry saw a chance to win the game, and if he has seen us play OT games (LSU, Bama, Ark), he didn't want that same thing to happen to his boys. I couldn't believe it, but I am sure it was the right decision from his perspective. If he gets that two point, it is a diff. story this morning. That story would have been Ainge driving down the field in the last two minutes to win the game

After I wrote that I couldn't remember which game I am remembering (I was a kid). Have I imagined this in my head? Somebody give me a little help figuring this out.

I believe that would have been the ill fated swing pass to Mose Phillips against SC in 1992.

Oh yeah, that is right. That was when they fired Johnny something like a week later, I think. Thanks for the help, GAVol, it was going to drive me crazy until I figured it out.
