I have it & it's pretty good. It may not be as exact as some but its never more than a yard or 2 off compared to the markers. It's also pretty neat at keeping score & tracking stats. Putts, fairways hit, misses, etc

I have the full $30 version. It's awesome. Just make sure you give your phone 5-10 seconds to pinpoint the yardage. The stats are very useful as well. The advantage over the rangefinder is not having to deal with obstructed views of your target.

i also like that they have a google earth image of the hole so i you have a blind shot you can see whats coming up

Just ordered myself a Calloway rangefinder for Christmas. Its the yellow one. Seems like on Amazon the Calloway/Nikons got higher satisfaction reviews than the Bushnells.

I used SkyDroid this fall and it worked well. Uses Google Earth hole images. A little quirky at times, though.

Several of the Amazon reviews state an eye piece problem on the LR550. Never had a problem with the one I had

I saw that too but hoped it was a corrected problem. With reviews like that you also sometimes only get the people who have problems to write in. I got mine and looked at it and could see how it could possibly happen but you know there are some people who can't chew gum and walk at the same time. Years ago I got a Homelite weed eater with an auto start. All I heard was all the problems people were having with it. I just read the manual and used it how they recommended and never had any problems with it for years.

Some said "fell off" & others said "broke off". That could mean the same thing....or not. Good choice on a rangefinder over a gps. You can do more with it on the distance side

I decided to get the pro version of Golf Shot on my phone and that coupled with the rangefinder I should get a good distance. My eyes have gotten so bad the last few years I can't do it visually anymore. Thanks for everyone's input. Big George Jones fan. Cold Hard Truth one of my favorite CD's.

Give us some feedback for using 2 different units while playing when you can. Bracing the rangefinder against the bill of your hat will help steady it.
