There is a difference between the SEC Network channel, and SECN+, which is online only.

Dish had the SEC Network channel from the beginning. I don't know about SECN+.

Most people would pay anyway but DirecTV added a $2.14 fee onto bills whether customers wanted the channel or not. I'm happy with the channel but tired of businesses adding fees onto accounts. I know that ESPN was looking to charge DirecTV $1.40 per customer in the SEC area and a lesser amount for out of area customers. DirecTV just could help themselves and bump the bill up higher than that.

is never more apparant that the article. i have had directv for 9 years and read everything that is out there to make sure that i know what i am agreeing to. most people never read the details and then cry when they are hit with fees. take the time to read "the fine print" and you won't run into this problem with them or anything else we sign up for.
