I can't think of one.
I know we generally grab a couple of jucos hoping for immediate impact at weak spots.
But, I would love for us to once get somebody who has been successful at our level especially for next year at LB or DB or even DT.
Does our graduate school offer any unique programs that might attract someone?

I believe Micah Abernathy's brother that played here for the 2015 season was a grad transfer.

Yep. RDAIV played for CBJ at Cincy. IDT CBJ likes to take grad transfers or JUCOs unless he feels he has to. Other schools have done really well with grad transfers, though.

Ralph David Abernathy IV. Transferred from Cincinnati.

I believe the Lady Vols also have one this year, and maybe the men's basketball team has done it once or twice. But so far, I haven't seen a big success story come from the practice for the team. For the most part, it just seems to allow an athlete who got his degree in 3 years, or redshirted to use their remaining scholarship eligibility toward a masters.

It might be a good way to get a future grad assistant on campus, but for helping your depth chart, you might have more luck panning for gold in your back yard, or finding three wise men and a virgin in Etowah.

Malik Jackson came to UT from S.Calif. via a transfer of some type. Good player who won super bowl with peyton last year and signed with jaquars this past off-season.
p.s. I recall rick clausen playing at LSU prior to arriving at UT where he started some games including Cotton Bowl when we man-handled A&M. I'M sure there are several others.

they were not grad transfers. Abernathy, i believe, is all that we have had.

I half-answered that. A graduate transfer has already gotten a degree I think and isn't bound by many, if any restrictions if he goes to play at another school. A transfer who hasn't gotten a degree is restricted in several ways mainly having to wait a year before playing again as will happen with Will Greer who left UF and transfered to WVU and can play this year but may have to wait until 7th game to play. I really get confused especially if Maurice Smith from Bama to UGA was allowed to play this year. I don't know of any graduate transfers that have played at UT.

The Jackson transfer had to do with USC's sanctions. Clauson just str8 up transferred from LSU and did destroy A&M and although, not the most talented QB, he was tough and won a lot of games, considering
