While there were moments in Neyland on Saturday afternoon where I felt a twinge (the scoop and score) I never had that feeling of impending doom that has enveloped me for the last 10 years.
Have I finally been cured of Battered Vol Syndrome?

I think we can agree that UT Football brings us together like nothing else. You prolly won’t like me personally and I prolly won’t like you. But days like Sat make it possible for you to tolerate a chit head like me and likewise I tolerate a chit head like you and we stair are each other and think…..yeah he’s aight

I admit to having it bad and even did not have the guts to start watching the game Sat after I heard Young was starting a QB for Bama. (I know, I deserve what your thinking). But I joined in later and am happy to say I believe I am cured. Before this game I probably would not have bothered watching GA game either but now excited about it. Its good to be back!!!

I am still attending my BVS Anonymous meetings. I am trying to go cold turkey and I am doing better but if I am honest, I still get twitches now and again.

The last 4 minutes of Saturday's game were a bit hard to take, but just goes to show with this team, I can "trust the process" and just sweat it out. LOL

Many of us old timers have suffered through BVS for many years so I think for us older folks it's going to take a bit longer to get totally cured.

Our new AD and HC and the miracles they and the other coaches and these great players have achieved in such a short time have certainly helped us much faster than any of us dared to dream.

Back in the good old days I used to EXPECT to get a WIN no matter who we played or where the game was at and I'd love to get all the way back to feeling that again.

I'm 67 years old and have some bad health issues and serious financial and other issues that are trying to worry me into a early grave but guess what my friends...

I'm still on top of the world after beating the gumps Saturday!!!

I wish I was able to get out and run and jump around and yell at the top of my lungs and be that crazy happy again.

My wife thinks I'm crazy still singing Rocky Top so much, LOL!

It's always GREAT to be alive and be a Tennessee fan and especially this season!!!

THANKS to everyone!!!!!

VFL...GBO!!!
