I don't know if they have changed it, but in 2002 when my dad and I went for the 600 the first few rows (I'm thinking 15) on the front stretch were just concrete. This was very uncomfortable, especially since the people behind us keep spilling their beer on my dad and the spot he was sitting in. Thank goodness it was hot and the beer would dry up in about 15 minutes. We sat in turn 4 for the Busch race and I enjoyed those seats.

as long as you make sure to sit further up as opposed to close to the track, you should be able to see the whole thing.

This is basically true, if you are around midway up, some infield bldgs partially block your view of the opposite staight. Although the front staight is prime, I like sitting coming out of either 4 or 2, with preference to 4 due to the dogleg front staight.

i sat in turn 3 at Atlanta last fall, about 7-8 rows up and loved those seats. high enough up to see the whole track and close enough to get the rubber in your eyes if you don't have your sunglasses on.

I sat in about the same spot at Atlanta in 2003. I must have been lower because I couldn't see the entire front stretch, turn one, or most of turn two. I also went to Bristol last year for the truck race and loved it. You can see the whole track there from anywhere except really low.

We went to the race in October last year. Great track and easy to get out of. Better than the Poconos, Dover and Talladega to get out of. Make sure you've got hotel reservation (hoping you've already got them!). Lot of places to buy collectibles.

i'd rather sit closer at Bristol.

it's so hot there for the Fall race that constant movement of wind close to the track keeps it enjoyable.

For Bristol it's turn 4 where you are looking directly down the front straight. I like watching the cars exiting the turn and drifting out to the wall. You get the same view in 2, but don't get as good a look of the start/finish line. While down close is exciting, there's more feel for the speed they achieve, you do have blocked vision of some of the track with all the haulers in the infield and the bldgs. The last few times I went there I was either in a suite or the pressbox; that's the only way to go.

I was in suite for a Busch race several years ago. For my money, I would honestly rather be in the stands.

I understand where you're coming from, you are somewhat insulated from the noise, and fan reactions, but after going there since 1961, I can live without that. Air conditioning, free food and beer, meeting the winning driver and best of all, not paying a dime is hard to turn down. I only wish I still could do it. All my contacts were with the previous ownership. I was friends with the owner's daughter and knew him fairly well.

No doubt if it's free that I would take it too. It's hard to go wrong wherever you sit.

Best place to watch a race other than Bristol. I have been several times and have always sat near turn 4. Be sure to get at least row 20 or higher if possible.

I've been to Charlotte several times and the best seats I've found are the blue ones over in the Turn 4 area. The seats are comfortable and you have a lot of room. It's not right on the frontstretch but you have a good view of pit road and the entire track.

If you want the frontstretch, avoid the lower rows like the others have said. You can't see Turn 2 or the backstretch and the seats are still concrete. Anything about 15 rows or higher would be good.

I went to the 600 last year and I am going back this year. I don't remember the section number I sat in but there is an overhang above the top section of lower level seats. We were right above the pit road entrance and in the first row under the overhang. I will put a picture on here from my seat but it was a great view. We stayed at the Holiday Inn on Billy Graham Pkwy in Charlotte and it didn't take long at all to get in or out of the track. They have a lot to see and do around the track if you get there early and they are cool about coolers coming in too. They were letting people in with large coolers that were bigger than the cooler template they have at the entrance. I got Reed Sorensen's autograph before the race in the Energizer tent. Toyota advertises heavily there also so I got a few towels and t-shirts from them too.
