UT first baseman Cody Hawn went 3-for-4 with five RBIs and his 17th home run of the season Sunday afternoon as Tennessee fell 15-8 in the series finale against Arkansas at Robert M. Lindsay Field at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

The game was close until we gave up a 6 run inning in the 8th.

Hawn might be a 1st round pick next year

He would be the first South-Doyle player to be drafted in the first round of any sport, ever.

That 2007 Cherokee baseball team was beastly, 3 players taken in the major league draft.

Hawn would be the 4th, if all goes well, from that team.

In other news, just when you think our baseball team starts to get something going, they eff it up.

i wouldn't expect him, Morgado, or Hernandez to leave this year, if all of them come back next year then we're looking at possibly 3 1st round picks. There's also a small chance Kentrail comes back.

I don't believe it's a matter of them leaving. There have been college guys get drafted after their sophmore or junior seasons yet return to school. If one of those 4 are drafted high enough, they'll leave.
