I read in the paper where he was giving Tennessee one more chance last weekend, but he was like 75% going to Florida State I think. Did anyone hear about if he changed his mind or is he still probaly going to Florida State.

The rumor is UT has always been his favorite school since he was little. But who knows. What I've been hearing is out of all of our potential recruits this guy is the biggest prima donna and has really enjoyed playing the recruiting game. So who really knows at this point.

The only think I know about this kid is that he is one of the top nations wr. Thats what it said in the paper about him anyways. I figured it would be good to have him, but if you are referring him to Washington I hope he dont come to Tennessee

yep, and who knows about this kid...he could turn out to be a great team guy etc....i just don't want to see any kids on this team that think the team is "lucky" to have them on it....rather they are lucky to be on THIS TEAM.

I certainly don't want to prejudge. He is an excellent prospect and even if he has a big head Trooper is now our recievers coach so that'll most likely be resolved pretty fast.

i just don't want the attitude....no me or i guys....we need us and we guys. that's all.

I truly believe that we are still seeing the impact of Kelly Washington even up to last year. I have always said that talent is no exception for class and dedication. If this kid is a prima donna, let’s leave him the heck out of here and take players who want to be part of the team, not want to be the team. How many stars did Nash have, I want another Nash or even Cedric Wilson. :realmad:

Hawthorne is a good kid....he is all about his team and not himself...I don't know where someone heard he was a prima donna

Hawthrone stays in-state at Auburn

Four-star wide receiver [db]Tim Hawthorne[/db] kept everyone in suspense right up until the last second ... would he stay home and go to Auburn or Alabama, or would he go out of state to Tennessee or South Carolina. Wild rumors flew all day, but in the end Hawthorne decided the Plains was the place for him.

"At Auburn I have a great opportunity to come in and play and develop myself," Hawthorne at his press conference. "They are putting together a great class and they have the highest potential for me right now." Auburn now has 20 commitments, 13 rated four-stars or better, as the Tigers are making a late push to get into the top 10 nationally.
