wtf? really? Skins can keep him. Our line is stacked with promising young talent. We don't need that unmotivated prima donna.

I never really have paid any attention to how pro contracts work. Since he's guarunteed all this money by the redskins, if they trade him, does the contract carry over to the other team? If so, the Titans wouldn't in a million years take up that contract. Can the skins pay part of the contract? Or are they just gonna release him and be out like $40 million or god knows what he's still owed.

I think he's already gotten most if not all of his guaranteed money from the skins. The Titans would be getting him for roughly 6 mil a year which is quite a bargain. Just what I heard though.

i think the dan patrick show reported albert has received over half his signing bonus. i believe it will cost someone 26 million for 4 or 5 years. check me on that.

Ever think Albert just wants to be like Favre, or maybe a church league ringer. Just show up on game day and play.
Go Titans.

yes I do

the reason for the trade talk today

Haynesworth angered coaches when he missed halftime meeting to discuss defensive adjustments and review photos of Cardinals’ blocking scheme

A motivated Fat Albert is on of the best Dts in the league. I believe Fisher and Washburn could get him motivated. Him and Jason Jones could possibly be a dominant duo in the trenches. Matt Schaub would crap his pants if the deal went through...

It's a Haynesworth / Shanahan pissing contest. Both will lose. Shanahan will lose the most.

It sucks for the Redskins that they never even got 75% out of Albert on gameday. Albert absolutely destroyed olines in '08 and I'm talking all pro guards. You can run your D through him when he's motivated.

I'd take him back in a heart beat

from what i can tell there's an issue of compensation, which makes it sound like Washington might be asking for at least a 2nd round or 2nd+more picks in return

That would be ridiculous.

I'd give them a 4th round pick at best.

He doesn't want to be there, the Redskins don't want them there and it's better than getting nothing for him.

When he started his whole drama this year, it crossed my mind that he was just doing it to get traded because he's not happy there. I feel most Titan fans and his former teammates would embrace him back with open arms

I have been saying for a while now that the Redskins organization, as well as Shanahan, are starting to look every bit as foolish as Haynesworth has. A good organization and coach would have found a way to make all sides happy and come to a resolution. It happens every year with multiple teams, most just choose to take care of their in house problems in house. The Redskins decided long ago to play this out in front of the media, Haynesworth didn't capitulate and stuck to his hard headed ways.

Haynesworth is a prima donna, that is evident but he is hardly the only one. The organization better solve the problem quickly, the harder they try and humiliate Haynesworth in the press the more idiotic they look for not addressing the problem.

So you think he's an upstanding citizen?
Oh, and go eat a bullet.

Fat Albert is a clown but he can be a dominant Dt. I think Fisher and Washburn can get him back to a dominate level.

I agree. Physically, he's an animal. But IMO, anybody that wants him back is only remembering how he played in those 2 contract years. He is motivated by one thing: money. Coaches can't get him motivated, players cant get him motivated. The only person that can get this guy motivated is himself. I think we should show confidence in the DL we have, who all appear to be working out.

Ask me again in 2 or 3 weeks if I want fat albert back, and it may be a different answer. Hope not, though :p

Haynesworth is motivated by one thing. Money. He is a beast in the last year of his contract and no other. Sign him to a one year deal and you get a dominant player.
