Seeing more details and more about the audio from Will Wade. At one point in what has been released so far, Will Wade says they can pay a player more to return than the NBA minimum and more than the yearly D-League salary.

Had the SEC/NCAA acted appropriately last year when all this was known, we win the SEC regular season title instead of finishing second. At this point LSU needs to be taken to the edge of the death penalty. It basically has to be assumed they have been a professional team during Wade's entire tenure. I believe I saw that we were competing against them for a few recruits right now. Wade should not be allowed to have a job, let alone be recruiting.

I still find it hard to believe they didn't fire Wade last year, he was inadvertently caught redhanded . It does sound like the LSU house is about to burn, we will see!

Not sure what this documentary will reveal about LSU, but I cannot believe that LSU would be happy about the idea of the NCAA sniffing around. Football and Ed Orgeron cannot be far behind in the cheating sweepstakes.

Let’s not forget a LSU booster went to prison in Oct because he stole from a charity and gave the money to some family members of some LSU football players.. but I’m sure that just happened that one time

The son-in-law of Mark Emmert is the AD at LSU. Mark Emmert used to be chancellor at LSU. Will Wade is safe; however, Cleveland State is about to get another year of probation.

To punish LSU, maybe the ncaa will also sanction Georgia State's football program and vacate some victories from last season.
So something good for the Vols could come from this after all in a backassward way. :D

Pretty strong opinion. I wonder how many other programs would/will fall into this group.

Gary Parrish says it was well known what Wade was doing while at VCU. He says that Wade was going to jump at the first big offer because his time had run out, and other coaches in that conference knew what was going on.

The programs they have this kind of information on should get the book. Period. This idea that "everyone does it" is highly doubtful.

"Everyone does it" no they don't.. However many programs likely do trying to keep up with the programs that do; or the really great programs that over time don't have to resort to really serious "crimes". Just bend the rules a little now and then.

Yeah, his methods have been known about for a long time, which is why I was adamantly against Tennessee getting in bed with him when a lot of our fanbase was clamoring for him to be hired. Guy has been dirty for a while. I'm sure he wasn't clean at Chattanooga, either.

We should be punished for losing to them. One mil and a scholarship for every tackle allowed behind line of scrimmage.

Wanna bet Parrish wouldn't have said this if Wade didnt turn down Memphis (when they hired Tubby)?

Actually hearing it from the horse's mouth brings more impact than simply reading it in print. These HBO documentaries have professional production values and they usually bring strong viewership as well. They are also shown frequently throughout the month. "The Inventor", which was about the Theranos/Elizabeth Holmes fraud, was in heavy rotation on their family of networks. This will be much harder for the NCAA Committee on Infractions to ignore than a report in Sports Illustrated would be. Just my opinion, but I don't think Will Wade is going to be coaching LSU next season.

Parrish can be difficult to listen to sometimes because he mostly thinks he is right and others are stupid. However, he isn’t a Memphis homer. He has a lot of contacts with coaches, and he has said multiple times that he will never say that a coach is clean because no one ever knows that. He also ripped Memphis for the way they handled the Wiseman situation.

Why should these schools be punished when everyone else is cheating too? If you did not punish UNC or Memphis why should LSU be treated differently? What about Alabama and Auburn football? People keep saying on here that no program is clean, including UT. If you choose not to enforce the rules for the blue bloods then leave the other programs alone. I personally think the NCAA is more like the WWE than a credible institution.

He ripped Memphis because they lied to him and kept him in the dark about the Wiseman situation. Once they kissed his a$$, he's been dogging Wiseman nonstop and doing nonstop PR to try to make excuses for Penny's poor coaching job in Y2.

The only reason he dogged Will Wade like he did was he turned down Memphis and that led to Tubby. He never dogs other similarly dirty coaches (Self, Pearl, Pitino, Cal, Roy, Sean Miller, etc.)

Wade is guilty as can be. But the evidence that the NCAA has probably won't be proof. His exact words that were recorded and made public aren't clear. Everybody knows what he "meant" but his lawyers will argue otherwise and threaten to sue the NCAA if they penalize him.

I don’t think I agree, but that’s ok. He has said that he thinks Kansas will get hammered. He knows Pearl has played the dirty recruiting game- even discussed Pearl “recruiting” before his show cause was officially over. His argument for Pitino is that a school should hire him because Miller, Wade, and Pearl still have jobs. He hasn’t spoken positively about Miller either, so I don’t know what you listening to.

I get your argument about the support of Penny in year two. I’m not in total agreement with him, but it does have some truth to it. Some of our fans used the loss of Lamonte Turner as a reason we struggled some, and he wasn’t even a top 5 pick. I don’t think Memphis should have lost to Tulsa, USF, and SMU this year, but not having your best player does change your team.
